funny how times change, I was like 16 when this came out, I thought a pretty girl w/out a bra was so cool, here I am 30 years later, been DJ'ing at mens topless clubs for 30 years and look back w/fondness on getting aroused by a woman w/no bra
brings back young teenage memories for me. still remember singing these songs over and over like i knew what they meant (not even) but good feelings and smiles come to mind.
I love this version TONS better the other videos I have seen. At least, Toni is really singing into the mic and the Captain is really playing the right instruments. A much more "accurate" version than the other versions! Great job!

Well love has certainly kept them together b/c 35 years ago today, Captain & Tennille scored their very 1st #1 Pop Hit w/this song and it was also #1 on the Adult Contemporary Chart and plus, it was their 1st Gold Single and their 1st Album Hit Gold as well and it was a Top 10 Album on the Pop Album Chart peaking @ #2 and after 35 years, they're still married and also, the Captain is 67 years old and Tennille is 70 years old and she's 5'11", God Bless Captain & Tennille, God Bless Neil Sedaka.

This version, without backup vocals, shows how great those vocals really are. but a lovely version nonetheless!

this version showcases how much the backup vocals add to the song. but lovely version all the same!

@vicnored it's well known. Didn't ever hear of the concert she gave in the late 80s in LA when she dropped her colostomy bag on stage ?

heard thats an urban legend...just like Rod Stewart with his belly full of...well, you know what and had to get it pumped out.

That is not nice of you to spread falsehoods. Toni Tennille and her husband did not do drugs. And she looks very health to me.
They have a website. Google Captian and Tennille.
Shame on you...

@Bag0fRats
I never heard anything about it. And even if a situation happened that she had such a health issue, that would not mean that it was from drug use.
I never heard of her doing anything mean to anyone. Why go after her in such a hurtful way? It makes no sense. She has feelings too.

@Bag0fRats,
If that did happen, then it is very cruel that people would have joked about it. And it does not mean that she was on drugs.
