@brystonfan, it's soap, it's sanitary when fresh, it has worked great for me for thousands of cleaning jobs, for over thirty years. The product is made to meet a price point. It cleans hands without synthetics or suspected toxins. It is a product, basically, like was in use before the Civil War. It cleans stuff like Simple Green, but without the synthetic crap.
@brystonfan, take, for instance, a hundred ten year old Edison Phonograph case of varnished, green-or-gold, tinted oak. Now, we want to save the dirty, roughened, original finish. Solution, sole: "GoJo" or similar white creme, and 4/0 (finest) steel wool, rubbing gently in one direction, lengthwise. This cleans and smooths and shines the old finish like nothing else can do. Give it a few weeks to re-harden, as this will soften Edison and other pre-1925 varnish, post '24, it's all lacquer.
@thurstable, any auto parts store is a good bet. Any brand of "white creme hand cleaner" will serve equally well. Just do not get the sort that contains pumice or orange extract (pumice will scratch, and citrus oil may be (I don't know) hard on old phenolic).
Will these types of cleaners remove the obnoxious spots of carmelised grease from kitchen walls and the oven hood? This is my worst nightmare to clean.
@2degucitas, yes, it can be a great aid in removing such things without harm to paint or finishes. Slather it on and give it time to dissolve the old cooking stains and grease. Citrus cleaners can be really great too, but are a bit less pleasant to work with...
Cool accent. Minnesota?

@SchleyFam1, no, I'm in Miami. I'm Reid Welch, writing from another of my YouTube accounts.
I just gave that radio away, last month, to a buddy. He finished cleaning it up,
made a display shelf for it, and it looks great in its new home.
Thanks for your comment and kind words. Minnesotans are great people too.
