I dont mean any offence to anyone, but usually, after watching a good cycling video, I feel and fired up, ready to go and anxcious about MY cross country tour this 2012. But after watching this one, I suddenly feel like I dont want to do it anymore. A tour is supposed to be exciting and adventurous. Even the hard days are supposed to be rewarding. But this video makes cycling seem difficult, torturous and sad.

"Inspire people to do a good thing"...you've just done that. I watched this earlier today, and found myself asking what I could do to help out. I made some calls, and from next weekend onward I'm going to be dedicating my Sundays to volunteering in a local hospice...it's not much but I suppose it's something. I'd been considering doing something along those lines anyway, but seeing you in action gave me the kick in the ass I needed. Congratulations to you Rudy, and well done to all. Thank you.

@gmck23sam Sam. I wanted to add. You say what I hear a lot of people say That what you are doing is "not much" Its huge. Theres no such thing as not much. Any volunteer work, help, donations, comments or support is huge. It spins off in inspiration to others. There is no better feeling that to help other people. Thats why I first became a Firefighter and why I now do this as well.

Folks - take inspiration from Rudy's achievements and try to give something back to those with cancer, and their families, who will appreciate the assistance you can give - in whatever manner, and in doing so, and leading by example, there's a very real possibility that you'll inspire your friends / family etc. to do likewise. it's a win / win situation. I think there should be laws when passing people on bikes-the same laws when you pass police officers on the side of the road..you slow down to a crawl. Or you get ticketed about 150 bucks.

@jenniferashley99 Thanks Jennifer I agree..twice I was clipped by a car. Once my mirror second my shoulder by a logging truck. Yes I lived. It certainly has you stop and think for a while...what am I doing. Then you get up and go.

@jenniferashley99 Yes. I had some on the freeway at over 75 MPH. Its quite a feeling cars going by at that speed.

I am 50 and healthy in a couch potato way and doing 30 miles kills me so cant imagine you doing this wish I could and well done it will keep me trying harder and dont think I will ever reach your success

@lynnej1970 Thank you for your comment. I do agree but the way the systems work, YouTube search gets me far less views than YouTube promotion which cost a lot of money, unfortunately.
