dude i put laquer thinner through my gun but i dont think i ran it out and when i went to spray it on to my atv it f'd it up bad

he's just trying to get you to buy one of these! all i do is mix laquer thinner and or lighter fluid. after manualy removing the paint from my paint tank with laquer thinner and a cloth i put the mixture in and turn the compressor up to 30 psi and just blow out the excess much cheaper and easier also it makes sure that the paint is easier to remove next time around

you could probable use a small ultrasonic cleaner. Not the cheapest thing in the world but they work amazingly.
