During the real Tea Party there were no freeways, bridges nor school that allowed real tax-paying patriots to work & contribute to the superior progress this nation has. I've never whined about paying taxes as without regulations many of us wouldn't be here. Due to Cheney's deregulations the Gulf is an oil pool.'

You know what I see when I see these pictures? I see a bunch of old, white, men and a bunch of old, white, women wishing for the 1950's again. Well guess what: The 1950's wasn't very good for most people. And if you're wishing for a period even earlier, like the 1700's, it was even worse. The entire crowd turned to the wall of the Newseum where the First Amendment is etched into the wall...and was chanting "Where's the Press" it was surreal! As we rounded the corner were exactly two TV vans. Fox and CNN...as we passed CNN...the crowd chanted "Tell the Truth!" It was a good day to be an American!

After Hurricane Katrina, President Bush's approval rating was still 40%. Personally I think Katrina was the lowest point in his presidency. When he left office with 2 wars, a crushed economy, Katrina disaster, VP Chief of Staff in jail, well his approval was still 30%. But these Tea-Partiers didnt start protesting until *after* we got a Democratic president. Where were they for 8 yearsw when our country needed them the most? The protests are not about democrats or republicans. I think many held their tongues since Bush was on his way out. And with Obama there were great expectations and the people waited to see how things went. So far all we have seen is the progression of the Bush agenda and even more government expansion. As Americans lost their jobs our government gave trillions to bankers and corporations. They could have payed off every mortgage in the nation and still had money to spare.
