Just as an update: About 10 years ago, Poutine started making its way into Quebec's Jewish community as well. Today, a kosher version of Poutine is sold in every dairy kosher restaurant in montreal.

okay here's the thing about poutine (take it from a pro) it LOOKS gross, but it's not. You just gotta get past the grossness of how it looks, because it's DELISH. oh, and like most meals, not all poutine is created equal. All about the quality of gravy and cheese curds. You can def get a bad poutine, so if youre in Canada and you want a poutine, make sure you ask a local!
