Damn that radiator is huge just for the cpu... are you going to water cool the gpu's in the future? do your hdd's get got where they are mounted? super clean build you have. great job:)
@demo8dave Yes it is huge, no I dont plan on putting the GPU's under water just the CPU and the HDD's do not get hot where they are, thanks for the great comments.
Very well done dude. I also have a 1200 and was wondering what you did to be able to fit a 360 in the front like that. Like how did you keep the mesh in front of the radiators and fit it without dividing the rad into individual 120s? Did you have to like cut the hard drive bays or something? I'm planning on putting a 240 up front and leaving one hd cage in the bottom. Again, nice job! :)
@azyndragon89 Nope the front mesh comes off the HDD cages and can be screwed back into place on the case with those thumb screws that hold in the HDD cage's and the rad just sits nicley behind it =] thanks for the great comment, I had a 240 rad in there before and it fit good with 1 HDD cage still inside the case.
how on earth did you mount those hard drives like that? thats exactly what I want to do with mine, did you just make a bracket for them or something? Also awesome build, what fans are you using on the rad?
@gerardbiteme Theres 4 holes on the back of the HDD's and I drilled holes in my case same spot as the ones on the HDD and used I think 6/32 screws to mount them, also the Fans on the RAD I forgot wich brand they are.
@klipsch19604 Thanks for the reply man, and the info, means I'll be able to put my hard drives in without to much hassell, also what did you do with the sata data cables, did you drill some more holes to put them through the back of the case or did you just connect them straight to the motherboard?
@gerardbiteme I used a dremel to make square holes for the Sata cables, I did have to dremel more holes to run them through the back to keep them hidden.
Very, very sweet. I also have an Antec 1200 and may be looking into watercooling somewhere down the road and I want to do an all internal setup. Also, it was downright creepy how we have the same case stickers and in the same spots.
Hey man, are you running all three cards and the CPU on one loop? What temps are you getting idle and load? Got a 1200 myself, running two cards at the moment. When the Nvidia surround drivers are released, I plan on getting a third GTX 480 and going water cooling.
@urbansmooth No for this is a CPU loop only no video card on this loop and for my temps at 4.2GHz oc on the i7 920(D0) I get max about 56-58c full load and idle temps are 29-31c also depending on the room temp the CPU temps will also be higher, but like 90% of the time its the temps I mentioned.
that looks very nice and clean. what are you using to hold the hard drives on side? any vibration coming off from the harddrive? Oh man, your cpu temp must be nice cool. Overclock that sucker. and is that a new Asus motherboard?
and about the HDD's on the side, if you look at a HDD (Western Digital) on the bottom of them they have 4 Screw holes all I did was drill 4 holes on the side of the case so the holes on the HDD lined up and also there is no Vibration comming from them at all very quiet, that Asus Mobo is not new its the same one I've been using its a P6T(Non-Deluxe)
@XLR84SPEED I just took them out, with the antec 1200 the cages are designed to come out so you can put the HDD's in the cage, each cage hold 3 HDD's and the 1200 comes with three cages.
Turned out great! Wish I would've thought of that and went with the 360 rather than my 240. Figuring out how to mount the 240 and still use my HD cage was a trick as well! Ended up cutting 1/3 of the cage off.
Damn what sort of temps were you or are you getting on your CPU?
