VSTi (virtual studio technology instrument) was developed by Steinberg as a Universal platform for soft synths and samplers. Not all the companies bought into it. Cubase and Nuendo use it extensively. You may also hear about VST2 and VSTi2 plugins. VST2 is simply an extension of the VST format. These pass on more parameters to the host for automation.
There are some ways of moving around the information on the screen that I thought were more intuitive on the Original RM1X. Also I found impossible transferring my songs from RM1X to the RS7000 unit which Yamaha claims its possible. But again the RS7000 is a full production station that incorporates sampling. The only thing that is missing is vocoder. Other wise I take my portable studio to starbucks or anywhere and compose my music in inspiring environmnts. Hope that sheds some light. Cheers
Hello there again. In response to your comment yes over all the RS7000 is a more professional end product with the quality of sounds improved more tools and knobs to edit the sounds. Over all I love the box, however I found some things that did bother me switching from RM1X. One of them the RS7000 is like a sampler you have to save every thing before shut down.
Wow, I keep remarks like this to truly the most talented and and very few, you are one of them. I hope you can check out my music sometimes. You are really good at what you do . This kind of music takes quite an awareness on behalf of the artist. Again This is excellent material very unique and visionary. Also your choice of visual content is exquisite.
Hi, your kind comments are greatly appreciated ObeeLektro, and more importantly, they're very encouraging too. How do you rate the RS7000 you use with your compositions? I have never had the pleasure of using the RS7000.
Thank you Steven, that is remarkable!
