I'm not seeing any darkness. Maybe the lightning on the VCR is too high or something. IDK. It looked like they could outrun darkness that day, but I guess not, I didn't start watching NASCAR until 2005. I have no clue.
Its sooo cool seeing someone win who had connections with Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Neil Bonnet, Geff Bodine, and Tim Richmond and others. It's actually kinda chilling knowing this man was racing with the racers of the past and killed them in some races and he still has the mojo to dominate the field now.
I remember this race. Jeff Burton should've won it. He was passing Bill Elliot for second (they were right behind leader Marlin) with about 15 laps to go and he had a flat tire.
@daverudynski You are CORRECT! Ricky Rudd had a BIG lead and was on his way, to winning the Pocono 500, until he got a flat tire, with about 6 laps to go, if I remember correctly? Dale Jarrett would win the race.
ok, sooooo, I am like 12 so I have never been to a racetrack.... until today. My father took me to the Poconos for testing. The BEST part of it was the sound of the cars when they go by. Now, i totally want to go to that race, but my dad says that that racetrack isn't so good because there isn't alot of action. Well, at least I got some autographs today!
If you want to see what I did on May 28, 2008, please leave me a comment on my page.
And, likewise, yesterday, it was my first time there, and my and my friends were in the pit area watching the cars go onto the track from the garage, and man, are they blazing loud!!!! I was also sitting in the front most row, and the car blaze by at 170, and I don't think I've ever heard anything louder, other than a jet taking off! Man, was that an AWESOME day. I think you should go to the race either on 6/8/08 or 8/3/08. There is a TONM of action, such as crashes and more cars on track.
yea, when I was there, i got at least 149 pictures of cars. And I got sighnatures from Truaxe Jr. and Jamie Mcmurry. It was so fun! but when I got there, I was frezzing my but off, my dad bought me a jacket. since i didn't have anything for the signatures, I just put out my arm while I was wearing the jacket and I just got the jacket sleeve singed!
I was actually at this race off turn 3, and it was insane. Between the crash on lap 1 and the rain delays, it was the longest day of my life-but also probably the best because it was my first race.
And this year, i get to go to both, and its unbelievable still. For the 6/8 race, i got front row by the pit road cones, and for the 8/3 race i get the infield. It's just unbelievable, and races are a lot of fun to be at.
The July Pocono race and Elliott wins... Many say that if you run good at Pocono, then you should run good at the Brickyard, who won the Brickyard in 2002??? Oh yeah, Bill Elliott.
