  • ako si im rekao, you suck!! hello from Serbia :)

  • Comment removed

  • can''t see shit!

  • IF THE BACK STANDER IS STANDING AT YOU YOU WOULD PROBABLY TAKE A COUNTER FOWL FOR RAISING THE RIGHT ARM IN HIS FACE ! don't teach people wrong!

  • back hands are low percentage shots for most levels. yeah they look cool, but i'm so much happier when my team just legs up and delivers an accurate shot. and i know that its meant for set but still rather have him roll out and take the sweep.

  • this is some great video quality..

  • @vkgbd really???

I think ur just lookin for videos to compare yourself to. Besides if the U.S. Is so bad, what country are you from???

  • @MrForthewin141 Not really

  • It looks like the camera got owned at the end

  • @brettskiOC or if we are partizan belgrade one of the best waterpolo team, most of partizan players play in serbian national team, greetings

  • ES TA CHIDO

  • @Guizzopber yeah like 20 50's hah!

  • @vkbgd except coming second in the olympics

  • o melhor

  • this guys retarded u look before u bankhand

this advice i am giving is from my profesinal coach with ove 35 years of waater polo

  • wow fast i kinda do it with spins cuz it gives it more power, but in the game when someone is playing with you its better to do it that way when u wanna pass or somethin like that

  • Even though your hand is going to end up on top of the ball, your focus should be to take your forearm/wrist to the spot on the ball nearest to you. And you should clear the ball from the water by rotating your arm (90 degrees) until your elbow is parallel to the surface. Then lead with your elbow back, the path of the shot right above the water's surface.

  • PRO HO HO

  • i always spin

  • my bro is 12 and he doest it almoast perfectly :D

  • ive got pro backhands

  • im so glad i started to play this sport. i don't care about speedos they feel so good when you put them on. i feel free. i just had a tourney today and i have another one tomorrow.

  • You know where the cage is cuz when you look at opposite side of the pool you see the other cage so you know where the cage is bhind you because it is parallel other side

  • how do you know where the cage is, where the goalie is set, etc, if you never look back before the shot?

  • pick up on top.... no... never do that.. swim fly if you do haha

  • @guizzopber only for backhand :D

  • @guizzopber haha 50 fly!

  • @guizzopber Thats one of the punishments on my team aha

  • @guizzopber with the exception of backhand. cant do it without meathooking it.

  • lol funny how im in freshman waterpolo and im the only one on my hs team that can do a backhand skipshot. amazing

  • thats cool

  • he should have added to get up when you shoot or else you might get drag on the water and your hand will angle down. making yourself look like a noob

  • I LOVE MY BACKHANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im trying out for water polo at my school cuz alot of my friends convinced me to join & cuz im a good swimmer. but i don't i don't look that great in a speedo cuz i have a jammers tan.

  • Don't worry about how u look in a speedo. If you can swim well, good chance you have a swimmer's build. When I was in HS, we rarely had a swimming team because no guy wanted to wear speedos. I tried to learn to swim, but swimming lessons in Canada were a luxury, very expensive. Whatever I learned was on my own. But I know I don't have the skills to play on a water polo team. I'm looking into private swimming lessons.

  • I jus started playing water polo cuz i just got into high school, but either way, I learned the back hand shot a few days ago and I find it very helpful its a quick and pretty accurate shot if u can control it. But whatever.

  • i just started but the funny thing is that i just learning how to swim. i was just pick cause my track speed and volleyball hand corridnation. should i continue to stick with it. my coach hasn't decided to pick next season squad but i want to make the team.

  • cupping the ball is for ams. you have absolutely no control of the ball and a good goalie will eat your shot. a good backhand is done when absolutely nessesary and when your defense is on the wrong side to block the arm.

  • i myself am a water polo goalkeeper and backhand shots are a bitch sometimes

  • i know play water polo very good

  • yeah and have a target in mind because if u change in ur turn and decide to shoot somewhere else u killed ur momentum

  • I hate this shot so much its hard to tell where i have to block i cant read the players face but its still kinda obvious where they have to shot.

  • youre a goalie or not?? cause our keeper always says the same

  • A i'm a goailer or keeper what ever way you like to say it i been a water polo goalie since i was 6

  • Nice explanation. this is particulary usefull for the pivot (dunno how if this is the right name of the position). And ur very quick

  • Damn fine tutorial

  • i play 2 metter guy and i fuckin own with the back hand i made it against highschool players and im in like 8th grade

  • you are idiot complete idiot

  • bin laden defintion: while having sex with a girl giz in her face and then throw cut pubic hair at her.

  • yo guy in da nederlands we dont have water polo guy we have counterstrike and skateboarding

  • this isnt where i parked my car i think larry stole it

  • My aunt has gonnereah. And she doesnt play water polo.

  • You should not CUP it between your hand and upperarm.

Cuz you cannot steer your shot anymore.

it will be a shot of luck.

Go watch the pro's, and see you just have to use it in your hand.

  • hey i thought this video was really good so i favorited but i was wondering if you are a right or left handed person??

  • doesn't matter just rotate the opposite shoulders shown in the video

  • thanks

  • dude ive made 6 to 8 backhands in a game!!!!

  • that really works. i play two-metter set it i tried it and it works.

  • and by the way when you take your move forward i take it backward so it looks like you pushed me back to get the ball and will be a foul on you and believe me it works :D

  • Good way to draw, but you cannot shoot off the foul! Unless you're behind 5 meters, but then you shouldn't be using backhand anyway. Or did you mean something else?

  • dang got sent to the top..the comment was directed to h20polo1111. And kudos to the creator of the vid, it's explained well.

  • the one who will make tha backhand shoot is the forward you will be the backstanding so you can see that it is very fast to block it so taking a move backward in the same second he take it to get the ball will be the proper move the referee will make it a foul for the backstanding (YOU) then its your turn to attack , you don't have to shoot it now

  • im not really sure what you just wrote, but are u saying that you draw the foul at point or at the hole set? and then u dont have to shoot it? the backhand IS a shot, so i dont really understand that.

  • noo i am not the one who will shoot the ball , i am talking about blocking it ,so i will draw a foul so that the backhand shoot won't be done , i understand you now :) i am the one who defend this backhand not shooting it

  • ahhh now it makes sense :) yes that seems like a good way to draw a foul and save a goal!

  • a good back standing won't let this happen what ever it cost ;)

  • 'cup the ball'

    ....

    -immature giggle-

  • Nice show of technique. However, there are a few things to note when executing this move.

    1) You're usually the centreman

    2) Two Unless you are able to shake the defender off. Most of the time you should and arm would not be able to swing backwards that much. Reducing accuracy and power.

    3) Most defenders would NOT just try and tap your hand. They would place their palm on your elbow. so that the backhand becomes almost impossible to execute.

  • When you snap out to the ball THINK of taking your your upper forearm on the front of the ball NOT your hand to the top. This will help keep your weight off the top of the ball and your arm bent so you can lead back with the elbow.

  • ...as seen at the 23 second mark.

Notice how his arm is bent when he snaps sideways to the ball at the 45 second mark. This is extremely important. This is much faster and more powerful than a straight arm grab.

  • thanks (: can't wait to try it!

  • left handed water polo players rule!

  • left handed water polo players rule!
