In any debate check out the cross examination. No one ever cross examines Ron Paul because there is no arguing with his logic. It just makes good sense. Nearly every point on his platform is agreeable with most people. That is why most Paul supporters say he is the only candidate that makes sense. I like Ron Paul as a person and agree with some of his views, and I like that he speaks his mind and never panders... but I don't really get Ron Paul supporters. Every time I've talked to any of them, now or back in 2008, they all say the same generic things: "He's just the only candidate that even makes sense. All the others will doom our country. He's the only real candidate." If you guys support him you need to figure out how to have real conversations. Just look at the top rated comment.

I think Ron Paul's principled stances and consistency are his most important qualities, especially in an election where the economy is the top issue. Every one of the other GOP candidates pay lip service to free markets, lower taxes, less government spending, and less regulations, but Ron Paul is the only one with a record of supporting that.

The people I've talked to (in person, not internet comments... though thats another story entirely) take this tone like they are "fans" of Ron Paul, in awe of him, and that they are leading a revolution. And if you have to ask why, you just don't get it.  It just seems cultish to me. I think it actually hurts his chances of being taken seriously.
