Can't believe I'm seeing giant Duke Nukem ads on websites - never thought I'd see the day. Haha, I love it - when I was a kid I played Duke Nukem 3D so many times that the disc is all scratched up something awful! To be able to play another game with Duke and hear that badass music will be awesome. I just sure hope the game doesn't disappoint in gameplay - we already know story wise it's covered: Duke Nukem + Girls + Bad Aliens trying to steal said Girls = Ass Kickery

you would think that since dukes health relies on ego you would have to kill enemies and shit to make it go back up whenever it goes down because ego is what keeps duke going and the more enemies duke kills the higher his ego increases they shouldnt even put health packs in the game what im sayin is lets say a pig cop whales on duke to where hes almost dead, you should have to kill the pig cop in order to make his ego go back up i mean thats how it should work since its ego and not health

it's not re-gen health, it's a ego health system. Meaning that when you kill an enemy you will gain some of you're health back. It was in duke nukem: Manhattan project I believe.

I like how nerds are crying over regen health and blaming Call of Duty when Halo's regen shield gave the idea of regen health. If you're going to put blame, put blame where its due.

Jees, nerds, do your homework. 2004 is Halo 2's release, giving regen health + shields. CoD2, the first of the series to introduce regen health [taken from halo 2], was released in 2005.

@mrsir4 Let's be thankful that it's regenerating health for an actual health (Ego) bar this time. I don't think people hate regenerating health, just how it's done. Most games just use it with a 3-4 bullets and you're dead deal, which makes it feel dull. In this, you have a fighting chance, and does what health regen is meant for by keeping the pace quick by letting you recover from particularly bad beatings.

Yes now i no in the past with health bar or percentage of health like 35% you can get trapped at a spawn with fuck all health and die over and over but my point still counts IMO because it is alot more challenging then going like this (enter a room 5 guys kill the first almost die but get to cover wait till you heal repeat that process over and over)

health only regenerates a little bit. To fill it up fully you need to interact with the environment and stuff (playing pinball, pressing buttons on interactive stuff ect.)

Having said that, duke 3d, UT and the 1st painkiller are my fav FPS games ever in that order. 3D verses with custom map love was better than cocaine. Tits are cool and all but the adrenaline jacked game play made this game, as it must do again...

I'll never forget dominating LAN parties by about 50 kills.

I'd also be pretty pissed considering the game looks like a whole lot of the same shit. I mean, seriously, same 3 or 4 guns, lots of pig things, very little differentiation in game play other than running and shooting.
