@CorfixAMV if you have norton, it obviously deletes the file with a virus. and a keygen is a hack so they all think it's a virus so IF YOU WANT THE KEYGEN, THEN TURN OF YOUR AV WHILE YOU ARE USING KEYGEN THEN DELETE IT AFTER UNLESS YOU WANNA INSTALL SOMETHING ELSE FROM SONY!

K, I found out the problem.

Here's what you do if an error occured while patching.

Close keygen and vegas pro 9. right click the keygen and click run as administrator. it works for me. hope this helps.

Close the keygen and vegas. Run the keygen as administrator and only hit generate on the keygen ONCE. Then patch Sony Vegas and open it after. Then go through the process of serial and activation code, make sure you didn't press generate and it is the same codes as before, then just copy and paste and it should work.

If you get an error while patching, try closing the Keygen, and right click on the Keygen app, and click "Run as administrator" or something like that. Then try to patch it again. It worked when I did that.

@wowboy111 Because to generate a working key it uses a trojan, trojans aren't just viruses that infect you're computer they can be programmed to do many other things.. for instance generate a key. all you need to do is disable you're anti virus for 15-min to an hour and it will be fine
