Cody, Sorry to hear about the cabin getting, half-stolen! But at the same time I'm happy that you haven't given up on it. Great to hear someone else that believes that men can be manly and godly! God bless you and yours, looking forward to future vids!
My husband and I would be very interested in you bible study! I loved this video and shared it with a friend of ours from church who liked it as well. Look forward to the start of this bible study and many thanks! God Bless you and your family overflowing!!
very sad! Christ condescended to walking to synogogue every saturday "as was His custom". Surely, after arrival hearing a Rabbi misquote the Torah and take out of context what He actually wrote. How does one love God and hate His bride at the same time?
As a year long subscriber to your channel that started in my tour in Afghanistan, I wholeheartedly agree with you and your beliefs in this video. I have had a similar time in churches and have only recently found a "Church of the Nazarene" here in Clarksville, TN that has a very strong men's ministry. Unfortunately, I am being transferred by the Army in a few months. I have made lifelong friends at this church. Also, "Courageous" is a resource to teach Godly manliness!
Also, I didn't have space in the last message, so I'll finish here, but I would feel honored to be a part of your Bible Study. I have my own personal one, my wife and I have our marriage one and we have a family one, but I would love to ad yours to our schedule and would hope that the family gets involved in it. Also, I would love to bring my entire family out to me you and your family just to meet you and see your work in person. I have my own projects that I would like to discuss. God bless

Totally agree with what you said about men and the church. Definitely interested in the Bible study - unfortunately I wanted to follow it previously and you mailed me the materials (thank you!) but I didn't get to stick with it. I really want to. I watched some of the earlier videos and found them very interesting and informative. I am committed to seeing this one through and delving deeper into God's word so that I can be more like the man He would have me be. Thanks for all you do!
Wranglerstar, A couple of things: #1. I've heard "Meekness" defined as being "great strength, under control". #2. The name of one of the books that describes the impact women have had on the "church" and men in the church, and the solution to declining church attendance is titled: "Why Men Hate Going To Church". You can get it at Amazon. #3. I'm interested in your Bible study, but don't know what "blog TV" is.
I have been following your videos lately and glad to hear about the continuation of the cabin.for some time now i have had interest in building my own log/timber frame cabin.i enjoy the fact that you use hand tools and simple techniques.i was born and raised in the poorest county in missouri, where people struggle all their lives to make payments on a home.it's a shame the traditions of old are gone when the community came together to build a home for a married couple.
I would rather live this life as a Christian, serving God, helping people where I can, supporting my church, enjoying fellowship with a great bunch of fellow believers, doing what my heart tells me is right, than the other way. For at the end of it all, If I am right, ( I know by the Holey Spirit inside me I am right!) great is my reward. If not, I still have lived an honest, giving, supporting life and have been richly blessed doing so.

Yes, I would like to do the bible study. Is there a denomination that you are afiliated with or beliefs line up with or is it non-denominational? I have some varying degrees on some issues with different denominations but I think on a whole that we agree more than we disagree on the main issues. Thanks for the update!
My husband and I have enjoyed your videos. We're wannabe homesteaders in VA. We're also Christians disappointed w/ the state of the church.Vision Forum ministries in TX is excellent! I hope you filed a report with you PD on the stolen portions of your cabin! That's such a shame, I don't exactly get the best feeling in dealing with any police but the fact is that when you report crimes it goes toward statistics and any chief of police who's worth a damn would step up patrols in that area. This is especially the case if this is where you live. Reporting crimes like this shows a pattern of victimization of you and your property and God forbid the day comes where you or your ol
Funny how some people think that being alive isn't in and of itself worth living for.. Is being alive and sentient not a value? Do you only value your immortality? I feel God almost every time I stop to think and I praise him for all he has given me and continues to do. @Greltam Compared to eternity what is this life. I also have a desire to live a full life here on earth but lets not fool ourselves. Life down here is very hard.
Hosea 4:2-3 Because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. I commend you for having the guts to speak out against the weakness in the modern church. Complacency is killing this country. Don't pay attention to all of the negative comments. God bless you.
Sp true Cody! "Meekness" and "Weakness" are 2 entirely different things. If one goes back top the original language used in the writing of the scriptures, they would find that "meek" as used in the bible carries the meaning of "teachable".
I think this is the video that I like the best out of all you have done. And you have done many videos that I have enjoyed immensely.
@Clausont5 Moses stated while leading the children of Israel in the wilderness "I am the meekest man on earth" This was no a boats but a contrast between what character trait is valued by men vs what character trait is valued by God. Meekness is despised by the world and often mistaken for weakness. God values a meek heart and a willingness to listen. I hope this clarifies my position.
Ahhh, my heart sank a little when you mentioned the timber was stolen. Good to hear that you'll be getting a chisel in hand this spring. You do great work my friend. Take care
My wife and I are Christians but we do not attend a church.. Church has become something the early church would not recognize...Looking forward to Bible study.
i know exactly how you feel Cody. Me and my buddy were building A small trappers cabin about 2 miles from town. we walked there every time. hard work but i loved it. we had the floor done and we left it for a while. when we came back it was saw dust. It was a pretty open spot so next time we'll hide it better.
Your gratitude was so sincere it deserves a reply after reviewing the comments; and you are welcome! You have shown us a great deal. Thank you for your videos wranglerstar;-) keep us posted buddy!
Hey great to hear from you again as always. I think what you do out there on the west coast speaks volumes to the east coast. Please add me to your Bible Study program listing. I look forward to it.
i feel im in the very low minority on this, almost all survivalists believe in religion, im a staunch athiest, to me it doesnt make sense, i cant sense a god with any of my senses how can it exist, god has been the name behind many wars and bloodshed in the world, to me it was created as a way of controlling people, as another tool for the government to use to keep the sheep in line
@dannyv233 I completely agree. I'm amazed that people still believe in mythology in this day and age. Personally instead of reading fables about gods and monsters I would rather be shooting at the range, or doing pull ups or going running, things that would actually improve my chances of surviving in a bad situation. That being said, I respect the right of others to believe in whatever gods and deities they choose, I just would rather spend that time doing something productive.
@ChristopherWalkenPUA Sweet. You will not be around for the bible study. You and your "staunch atheist" friends can gather and do something productive.
@Thingamujigger I would agree with you. If this was all life had to offer I would not want to live another second. This is not my home I am pilgrim in a strange land.
@gonetoworkbbackin5mi Your comment here is an example of Christianity. I left it 3 years ago and now I have The Scriptures and YaHuWaH and Yahushua in my life. Christianity is a combo of The Scriptures and Paganism. Constantine tortured to death thousands of the early followers of the Messiah, Followers of The Way, as they would not enter into Christianity/idolatry Those murdered, who stood with YHWH are the Saints, not those idols in the RCC. You are a poor witness. Circumcise your heart.
@dannyv233 If you dont believe in something, you will fall for anything. I personally prefer to believe in facts. I rather not waste my time with fiction, fairytales or fables. It is a historical fact that Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead. No other person has done that in history. Therefore, based on ironclad historical evidence...I choose to follow what Jesus says. The Holy Bible has certainly withstood the test of time, and as a truth seeker, I am still waiting to see its error.
@dannyv233 I understand your feelings. However, take the occupy wallstreet groups as an example/comparison. They feel they have been wronged by capitalism, but it was crony and corrupted capitalism not true capitalism. I think it's the same with religions.. the corrupt and mislead areas (there are many in all religions)are causing the problems, Not the ones staying true. (this has a christian slant, being my faith. Maybe it wont translate across the board) hope this made some sense?
@dannyv233 You are not alone in your beliefs, but unless you're just trying to get a rise out of people, here is not the place for this discussion. I may disagree with Cody's views of religion, but his videos are still extremely fun and interesting. I know he's a great guy and I respect his right to believe what he wants. There are plenty of places to talk about your views, but I hope you leave it off Cody's channel.
@dannyv233 The Ayn Randian notion that faith is in direct conflict with reason is false. It depends on you point of view: To an atheist, the universe is proof that God does not exist, but a believer sees the wonders of this universe as proof of His majesty. One of the fundamental laws of science is that in a closed system, entropy (chaos) never decreases. Yet the universe itself is order made from chaos.
Wow I can't believe someone stole that. Pretty low. And yeah they probably just looked at it as wood/building materials, which are probably pretty valuable and I'm sure get stolen often, but it's just worse with how much you put into it. I hope you're able to make the best of it.
sry but all the wars were wars of purgation, a contrived plan to weaken the genetic strength of men. whats left today? doesn't even have the gumption to fight back. thats why there are a groveling mass of sheeples ready to lay down at a simple command.
ive always watched and never commented and i've always enjoyed your videos, and if your willing to put in the time and effort of posting up a bible study then count me in and i guess you could say mines a selfish reason and to keep it short and sweet i was saved and expected Christ as my Savior in april of 2010 and through events shortly after i have become disabled and i don't get to go to my home church very often because of it and if your willing to offer and you have me count me in
In the most respectful and brotherly tone possible let me gently chastise and say that one should never confuse 'meekness' for weakness. Lest we be judged.
This was a more edgy vid for you, but I appreciate what it takes to put it out there. Respect. I share many of your feelings about churches - which is why I don't go often. However we are hopeful that one day the right fit will find us. Good luck with your retreat!
@HighValueWarrior perhaps I was not as clear as I would have liked. I take no issue with meekness. A man can be strong and meek. Weakness and the fear of taking risk or leading out is the trait I despise.
I feel the same way about religion. It's difficult to have an intelligent conversation with some people on religion because many just follow blindly and repeat what they are told with no thought of their own. It's gets very exhausting. They always forget it's a belief and take their religion as fact and expect others to follow blindly like they do. If you question anything, they accuse you of not believing in God. I'd be interested in your Bible Study. I'm just always working.
@richardah1 Seems I find that non believers blindly follow science even though it has been found faulty time & time again. There are so many unanswered questions that science can't and possible won't be able to answer. Yet it has a following. Just because you don't believe doesn't make what others believe faulty. Science hasn't disproved God's handiwork but because a few feel that Christianity isn't for them that it's false. Most Christians would like a healthy exchange not ridicule.
@1timby This is exactly what I mean. What do you mean blindly follow science? And what has been found faulty? Things that are still a theory or hypothesis? What science knows now has been proven and can be proven by competent scientists. No one can prove anything in the Bible to any level of certainty. Also, why do you believe that science and God are two different things? If you believe, that's great. Keyword "believe." Not "know."
@richardah1 Well lets start with creation, evolution, methods for determining the age of things? These are just starters. Science hasn't proven what cause the universe or what & where life started. Just Theories & hypothesis. Yet you blindly follow them even though science admits they don't know. They don't know where the matter for the universe came from. They don't know what started life on this planet. Etc. No one can prove the age of the earth either yet science says they do.
@1timby Out of respect for Wranglerstar and his channel, this will be my last comment on the subject. You just proved my point. How? Learn what the scientific process is and what hypothesis, theory and fact means then come back and read your comment again and maybe you'll see why it's wrong. If you want to have an intelligent conversation, you need to study both sides so you don't make comments like this which make you and other religious people look bad.
@richardah1 Gee I suppose maybe I'm in error. Being a Christian of over 40 years & being a part of the scientific community for over 30 years I guess I'm a novice. I don't really understand science even though I spent most of my working career as such. I know exactly what the scientific process is. It's based on observation & backed by theory & hypothesis. Of course I can see that you don't want to cloud the issues with real facts. You can believe as you see fit.
@richardah1 cont - As I've stated I've studied both sides of the equation. Science has no legs to stand on and they don't have a consensus about creation or evolution. But hey don't let me get in the way of your beliefs. I stated you're wrong & in deference to Wranglerstar I'll constrain myself and not get into a debate.
@1timby I never said I didn't believe. I'm just intelligent enough to know it's a belief I chose to have and not a fact. There's a chance I can still be wrong and because of that, I can't go around pretending I'm right and non believers are wrong. That's just not very smart. Just look at everything and think about it without influence from what others tell you. Keep an open mind and go about it intelligently. Think. Don't just repeat what you're told.
@richardah1 I have & spent many hours studying these so called scientific facts. The holes in the evolution, age of the earth, where matter came from for the creation are large enough to drive a truck through. Yet you accept hypothesis & conjecture as fact & then believe it as it's a likelihood.
I'm not repeating what I was told. Yet you seem to be. Did you really study these scientific theories or did you just accept what someone told you (teacher, professor, room mate, etc)?
It will be great to see some woodworking videos again. I'm curious if you considered any high production sawmills before buying your Alaskan Mill. If you have some nice timber on your new property and you want to cut some dimensional lumber then it might be worthwhile. It's definitely more of an investment but lumber is expensive. Just some thoughts. My dad has been sawing lumber with his Lucas Mill for our offgrid cabin. I have a couple vidoes on my page.
we share identical views on men in the church. I am glad to hear someone address it. keep up all the outstanding work. Your videos are always a treat.
Cant even escape thieving bastards out in the country. Sorry for the invective. But it wasnt even my property and I am furious. Sorry to see your hard work stolen. well I am sure you learned alot so not all is lost.
I've talked with my wife about why men in our church are so willing to be followers and not leaders! I often thought of the Biblical rolls God laid out between men and women. I'm not saying women don't have a roll in church I'm saying that they seem to have taken the man's role from him. The men have allowed this to happen, but I think God is looking for men who are willing to be the spiritual leaders in their homes! The movie couragous is a good example of the types of things I'm refering to.
If you do a little research on cultural marxism and who/why it came into power you will find the answers to your question of where all the men went. It really is that simple. There is no room for political correctness, feminism, marxism, and any offshoot of the preceding in Christian Churches today. None. Yet you will find these evils in each and every sect of Christianity today from Catholicism to the Southern Baptist churches.
@DIYHydro Fuel/water separator I would reckon. It's for a diesel fuel tank in the bed of his truck (for fueling up his machinery on the homestead). Easier than carrying fuel to your gear 5 gallons at a time. LOL

i know exactly how you feel Cody. Me and my buddy were building A small trappers cabin about 2 miles from town. we walked there every time. hard work but i loved it. we had the floor done and we left it for a while. when we came back it was saw dust. It was a pretty open spot so next time we'll hide it better.

i feel im in the very low minority on this, almost all survivalists believe in religion, im a staunch athiest, to me it doesnt make sense, i cant sense a god with any of my senses how can it exist, god has been the name behind many wars and bloodshed in the world, to me it was created as a way of controlling people, as another tool for the government to use to keep the sheep in line
dannyv233 1 month ago 6
@dannyv233 I completely agree. I'm amazed that people still believe in mythology in this day and age. Personally instead of reading fables about gods and monsters I would rather be shooting at the range, or doing pull ups or going running, things that would actually improve my chances of surviving in a bad situation. That being said, I respect the right of others to believe in whatever gods and deities they choose, I just would rather spend that time doing something productive.

@ChristopherWalkenPUA Sweet. You will not be around for the bible study. You and your "staunch atheist" friends can gather and do something productive.

Thingamujigger 1 month ago
@dannyv233 I understand your feelings. However, take the occupy wallstreet groups as an example/comparison. They feel they have been wronged by capitalism, but it was crony and corrupted capitalism not true capitalism. I think it's the same with religions.. the corrupt and mislead areas (there are many in all religions)are causing the problems, Not the ones staying true. (this has a christian slant, being my faith. Maybe it wont translate across the board) hope this made some sense?
geofrichubs 1 month ago
@dannyv233 You are not alone in your beliefs, but unless you're just trying to get a rise out of people, here is not the place for this discussion. I may disagree with Cody's views of religion, but his videos are still extremely fun and interesting. I know he's a great guy and I respect his right to believe what he wants. There are plenty of places to talk about your views, but I hope you leave it off Cody's channel.
jhawkdude 1 month ago
@dannyv233 The Ayn Randian notion that faith is in direct conflict with reason is false. It depends on you point of view: To an atheist, the universe is proof that God does not exist, but a believer sees the wonders of this universe as proof of His majesty. One of the fundamental laws of science is that in a closed system, entropy (chaos) never decreases. Yet the universe itself is order made from chaos.
naeblis123 3 weeks ago
Wow I can't believe someone stole that. Pretty low. And yeah they probably just looked at it as wood/building materials, which are probably pretty valuable and I'm sure get stolen often, but it's just worse with how much you put into it. I hope you're able to make the best of it.

HighValueWarrior 1 month ago

I'm just always working.
richardah1 1 month ago
@richardah1 Seems I find that non believers blindly follow science even though it has been found faulty time & time again. There are so many unanswered questions that science can't and possible won't be able to answer. Yet it has a following. Just because you don't believe doesn't make what others believe faulty. Science hasn't disproved God's handiwork but because a few feel that Christianity isn't for them that it's false. Most Christians would like a healthy exchange not ridicule.
1timby 1 month ago
@1timby This is exactly what I mean. What do you mean blindly follow science? And what has been found faulty? Things that are still a theory or hypothesis? What science knows now has been proven and can be proven by competent scientists. No one can prove anything in the Bible to any level of certainty. Also, why do you believe that science and God are two different things? If you believe, that's great. Keyword "believe." Not "know."
richardah1 1 month ago
@richardah1 Well lets start with creation, evolution, methods for determining the age of things? These are just starters. Science hasn't proven what cause the universe or what & where life started. Just Theories & hypothesis. Yet you blindly follow them even though science admits they don't know. They don't know where the matter for the universe came from. They don't know what started life on this planet. Etc. No one can prove the age of the earth either yet science says they do.
1timby 1 month ago
@1timby Out of respect for Wranglerstar and his channel, this will be my last comment on the subject. You just proved my point. How? Learn what the scientific process is and what hypothesis, theory and fact means then come back and read your comment again and maybe you'll see why it's wrong. If you want to have an intelligent conversation, you need to study both sides so you don't make comments like this which make you and other religious people look bad.
richardah1 1 month ago
@richardah1 Gee I suppose maybe I'm in error. Being a Christian of over 40 years & being a part of the scientific community for over 30 years I guess I'm a novice. I don't really understand science even though I spent most of my working career as such. I know exactly what the scientific process is. It's based on observation & backed by theory & hypothesis. Of course I can see that you don't want to cloud the issues with real facts. You can believe as you see fit.
1timby 1 month ago
@richardah1 cont - As I've stated I've studied both sides of the equation. Science has no legs to stand on and they don't have a consensus about creation or evolution. But hey don't let me get in the way of your beliefs. I stated you're wrong & in deference to Wranglerstar I'll constrain myself and not get into a debate.
1timby 1 month ago
@1timby I never said I didn't believe. I'm just intelligent enough to know it's a belief I chose to have and not a fact. There's a chance I can still be wrong and because of that, I can't go around pretending I'm right and non believers are wrong. That's just not very smart. Just look at everything and think about it without influence from what others tell you. Keep an open mind and go about it intelligently. Think. Don't just repeat what you're told.
richardah1 1 month ago
