Good to know for the next time my kids get an ear ache

Just get some regular olive oil and some whole garlic put in a small pot , heat it up till oil smells like garlic and there's ur garlic oil..put few drops in ur hurt ear and get some cotton, drench it in onion juice put that in ur ear and it should feel better..that's what I give my kids.u have to go to a Heath/whole food store to get garlic oil...Very expensive

The only scary thing about putting stuff IN your ears is if your earache caused your eardrum to rupture... then it will hurt like a beeyatch....

my ear hurts so freakin bad i was crying! THATS HOW FREAKIN BAD! I'm 14 i barely cry. THIS PAIN it runs down the tip of my ear down my jaw it hurts to talk im going to see the doctor.

You say here that you should refrigerate the oil when not in use.... should i do that for my comfrey oil as well? how long does herbal oils last?

Respond to this video... My dad said NEVER use the eardrops. He says it is probably the WORST thing u can do 4 ur ear/ears. He was a paramedic, EMT or whatever it was for a LOOOOONG time.

I've used baby oil and cooking oil for my girls as they were groiwing up. let me give you a tip: get a teaspoon, warme it up on the stove first, and then put the oil, it works wonderful.

you can also use baby oil by warming it up in warm water putting in ear draining out and repeating

NOT GOOD! i've just come off 500mg x3 per day of anitbiotics for 1week, it seemed to clear it up but now im in soooo much pain, its only been three days since I finished the course. :'( the paaaain is awful!!!!!! :'(

If you have certain allergies make sure you're not allergic to ginger root. Ginger root is spicy too if chewed. And again double check before taking it to prevent overdose and allergies. There are statements that excessive comsumption of ginger root can damage the stomach and may eventually lead to ulcers althought it is good for stomach aches. It is also good for head aches and for inflimmation, diabities, heart, and it is good for pain killers too.

A good source of antibiotics is ginger root it can be boiled as tea with green tea or mint.

Native Americans used wild ginger root they grounded it and use the pulp to boil and till it cooled down then it was used for treating the ear. Its chemicals does have antibiotics. Aztecs physicians were experts on treating ear aches they had great ear treatments.

Ear aches are from the blockage of a wax "passage" due to the inner ear from infections and ear wax built ups.

Infections are also from loud music from headphones of long periods and hot tempatures and infections of swimming and even from not properly rinsing out soap and of built up bacteria. A peice of Galic in ear is good only for eardrum infection and not for ear canal infection or ear wax build up.

Be aware that there are different types of ear aches. There are two ear infections and there is an ear wax build up. One infection is in the ear canal and the other is an in the ear drum. For Ear wax build up plp use

my mom always puts some warm oil in my ear and a warm wet washcloth. It works sometimes, and right now my right ear feels like its under alot of pressure for some reason and it hurts like crap.

I wonder if this would be safe to use on dogs? I have a golden retriever that LOVES to swim but every summer she gets an ear infection and going to the vet gets expensive! Is this safe to use on dogs do you know?

@septemberwitch this wont work for dogs...dogs ear environment is a bit different from human's. the dog's ear environment might be more or less sensitive than the humans. you just pee into the infected ear of you dog. hope that helps..

i'm having problems with my ears also. It feels like there is something in them, like trapped water or wax, I don't know. The pain is slight to mild and comes and goes. I just hate the pressure and clogged feeling I'm having. I wet my hair daily but I try to not get water in my ears. I'm lost, can someone offer some advice??

get a teaspoon, pour a little olive oil then over the stove warm the bottom of the spoon make sure the oil doesnt get too hot just for like 5 seconds till oil is warm then get someone to help you pour oil into your ear make sure your lying down it really works for any ear ache * note make sure the oil isnt hot just warm

you just have an ear ache/infection...it will go away in about a day...try putting hydrogen poroxide in your ear and laying down on your side, it should clense your ear. let it stay in there about an hour and anyways you'll be good

In our home we use garlic infused in olive oil (which is sweet oil!), along with a few drops of lavender essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, and Ti Tree essentail oil. I usually put one ounce olive oil along with 3 drops each of essential oils and one garlic clove in oil (before adding essential oils), warm this mixture and place a few drops in ears. I keep ours in a small jar (clean ppimento jar) in frdge when not in use. Cooked onions work wonders, too. Cooked onions are awesome medicine!

If you have ear ache only use this if your ear is INFLAMED not infected, if its infected you will need to go to docks.

If its imflamed it will be a warm throb :)

sweet oil is good for an earache too all you have to do is warm a little in a spoon and then put it in your ear and stuff with a cotton ball afterwards or you can use the really old fashioned cure which is to warm a little of your urine and then put it in your ear i know it sounds disgusting but it really works my parents used the method on me when i was a little kid and all the stores were closed for the night.
