what I think what happened was that the dentist chair on verricrut was where it all started. the german guy was the first and he is trying to infect the survivors he hunted peter and ended up on shi no numa where he found peter hung himself and that there was the three guys ( american russian and jappanses) who he is playing double agent with. The german guy has to know something about the space rock and is using the powers for personal reasons.
