Thank you. It is a simple and cheap method, however I was concerned with refraction leading to chromatic abberation as the light passes through diferent media with differing indices of refraction. That issue is best addressed through a reflective media, thereby completely eliminating the issue.
I am pleased that you have commented on my video. Best of luck with your projects!
can you please include how to contact the people who made the tube for you. Perhaps you could add a link to their website or a phone number or something. Thank you for sharing your resources
Try ebay if you don't want to grind your own. I did for a 5" primary w/spider, and it saved me a heck of a lot of time. Shoot, just realized this is 6 months old.
omfg awesome, I might have to make my own one now, I do have a 150mm relfecter that ive had for a few years but nothing beats homemade :D, thanks for the video looking forward to more

do you suppose drinking acetone may be responsible for spontaneus human combustion?
LostLikeYou 2 years ago
@LostLikeYou Probably, if not the alcohol consumed by the people who reported the "spontaneous human combustion"

Thank you for your kind words.
Unfortunately, shortly after this video was made, she went out for a walk and did not return. I miss her. She was a good cat.

Can you tell me where one can get the big mirror that goes in the back end of the Telescope?
n4tti1c3 4 years ago
I made it with supplies obtained from Newport Glass in California. It took about 40 hours of grinding, polishing and figuring
