I'll be honest, GVP may have been a great leader, but only in the past. Unlike most people, I don't know about the whole history of his time so I will not judge him or pretend that I know about it. All I know is, times are changing and I really feel like the Hmong of this generation needs a new leader. Just like when your parents lecture you, they give you knowledge that would of worked in their time, but not in today's.

In every society, there are always some villains who always oppose their own leaders even though the person himself or herself has done nothing to help his/her people. You may not like General Vang Pao because you feel he betrayed you in the past, but his contribution to the Hmong people is more than Youtube would give us the space to explain. I still remember after Vang Pao left Laos and how the Laotians treat the Hmong. My father said Lao treated Hmong like animals until Vang Pao stood up.

Vang Pao has made a different in our Hmong culture; especially, education, economy and politics. Before Vang Pao, and after Vang Pao, Laotian Government looked down on the Hmong and called us, "Meo."
