This song is better live than the studio version. Look at that crowd. There's not many bands who can get a crowd jumping to a song in odd time. Check out my '54 Days' vid - song is also in 5!
they headlined Lollapalooza in 93 in southern cal. Now That was an insane powefull, killer show, i've seen them probably 20 times since then but that show was amazing
How many people just got a sinking depressed feeling of being old after realizing this was a reunion tour and you were jamming to this song in High School? Such a confused feeling of being depressed over getting older, but being excited over a song that rocks so much.
Geddy lee is les claypools hero growing up. He loves geddys bass lines, and infact after touring with them in their early days now remain close friends with rush.
Alex lifesong gave les a rickenbacker bass as a gift, and geddy signed les' main 4 string carl thompson on the headstock.
I love rush, and i love primus, geddy and les are two mad men bassists.
This was the best concert I've ever been to. Some guy really got messed up in the mosh to. It was so crowded it must of taken them forever to get the guy to the medic tent.
les is my fav. better...but he is a much better song writer than bassist...there are plenty better than him...dont get me wrong...he;s fuckin sick....2nd fav. band....rock on!
I would rather call him minimalistic- He does what a good drummer should do (in my opinion as a guitarist): He palys the essential rythm where others do all this crazy show-off ego solo stuff. But If a drummer only plays such parts it destroys the song- trust me.
this is pretty amazing, i saw them on the brown album tour. it was a fun time. i remember i was most impressed with larry's guitar playing. hopefully i can see them again sometime.
somebody asked about the microphone and what it says on it...i explained myself loud and clear....
it says sandman....for the guitarist of morphine who died....sandman is his name...les was friends with him....he died....so les put sandman on his distorted microphone....
This is kind of a lame story, but I was taking a break at work, sitting in a little cafe there that people can enjoy a meal from the deli, listening to my MP3 player. At certain times the the day, the management all get together, avoiding what little work they do to have lunch. When I first saw them all heading over to the cafe, this song came on thanks to shuffle. I laughed so hard I was crying.
The only thing that sucks about this video is being reminded how freakin long ago this song was, which reminds me of how freakin old I'm getting. It's insane how FAST time has flown by. I swear time's moving faster.

It's never faded. Damn near 2 decades and it's not at all diluted.
This was my favorite track.
Next 11.
Then Sgt. Baker.
One of the few who took time to get creative with the music.
Not Hendrix creative.
Like practically talented and technical creative.
Symphony type. You know, music.
