  • beautiful s10s !!

  • remind me of rebuilding my 91 2.8L s10. That song was on my dads playlist as well outside. Moody blues the story in your eyes.

  • damn i wished i worked on cars and shit with my dad

    lol

im puttin a 4 inch lift on a bronco by myself with some help from him and his friend

  • man, i need your guys help puttin mine back together.... i fucking hate wires!!

  • These are durable little engines, had one in a '83 citation, drove it to death...

  • nice

  • haha your retarded i would drive a toyota if i felt like dying from my gas pedal sticking

  • man id put a sbc 350 in it or somethin like tht

  • a 400 would do nicely if you got one sitting around

  • just dont wnt to bore 1 out tho u'll have to hook a water hose up to it

  • naw I mean, just get a 400 block and put her in there!

  • me my step dad and my grandpa are building an s-10 with a 350 small block in it for my first vehicle

  • hopefully you dont end up taking it for a spin and crashing it. Cause that would be no good.

  • i had a little 2.8 i ran to death i had it when i just trun 16 in a s10 i drove it hard i finally snap the crank in it put a 1.9 isuzu 4banger with a crack head and fill it full of stop leak and trade it in lol still got the 5 speed trans out of it the isuzu came with a 4 speed 2.8 is a good running engine i had over a 100k no mine when the bottom end fell out

  • damn that's a nice engine. what you runing in it?

    and hows youre dad?

  • My dad is doing much better thanks.

both engines are 2.8 ltr v6

the red pickup is an 98 with fuel injection

the white one is an 84 with carburetor

  • @dacap Here's a question, since I have a 1985 Chevy Astro with a 4.3 V6 that has a carbuerator...would it be possible for me to put a newer 4.3 in it, and switch it to a fuel-injected gas delivery system?

  • @Thompsongs Yes it is possible, you can buy a fuel pump and hook it to your ignition easy

I have done this to my moms s15 pickup as the 2.8 that was in it was taken from a fuel injected camaro that did

not have a manual pump placement.

  • is that a stock 4.3l ?

  • anyone from us? lets chat :)

  • My dad is in the hospital right now, been five days now. asthma problems suck! watching this

video makes me miss him =(

I LOVE YOU DAD! come home soon

  • shoulda had a v8.

  • it's got enough space, but sometimes you've just got to use what you've got :)

  • ya but that conversion is a bitch to do

  • hey its mike and the mechanic.

  • yeah looks like a 2.8(the small v6)

  • it kinda looks like that guys rebuilding it, not you lol

  • yeah SHUT UP JESSEE your opinion aint $#!+

  • gm is the best, nascar is mosly chevy, pro drag racing is all chevy, jesse, you giant peice of shit, shut your mouth, jesse probly drives a ricer

  • or an icecream truck

  • well jesse by reading the comments others have left on your page, I am just going to ignore you too so consider your comment debunked..

  • Are you saying that American GM auto are crap and that I should buy a Japanese vehicle?

  • is that a v6?

  • yes

  • yea that sounded like a dumb idea to me to ha

  • if you went threw the troble of rebuilding that 1982 - 1985 engine you should have just got a 1986 or newer there much better engines biger mains electronic fuel pump biger valves internaly balanced engine and you can make them into 3.1L or 3.4L

  • How many engines have you put in this truck? lol

  • this is actually another pickup

we have one 84 s10 pickup (white one in the video) the red one was wrecked and we scraped it

    its no longer with us..

we also got an s15 awhile back that we are still working on (lack of time) it is white too same setup 2.8 v6 also have an 87 s10 blazer same 2.8ltr v6 and this is just my crap... my dads stuff is older and bigger and badder (of course) I will have to get some video of his stuff on here I guess. or have him do it yeah!

  • what the hell is an s10 i think you mean a c10 any way i got a 72 c20 3\4 ton and im 13 years old i plan to rebuild it

  • It says S10 right there on the side of the pickup.

  • nope when I got it (used) it had the hydraulic clutch already in it

  • It is a 2.8 v6 still runs great

  • hey did your 84 havea mechanical clutch? mine did, I'm swapping it out to a hydraulic as I'm putting the new 2.8l in it.

  • 1984 was the first year for Hydraulic Clutches in the s10s. Personally I would keep the mechanical. They are a lot easier to maintain, and no hassle with bleeding.

  • I hated adjusting the manual clutch, I'd rather just make sure the fluid in the hydraulic was full

  • 2.8l a real jewel, turning off the a/c while driving is like adding 2 cylinders, garage looks like mine-without the tunes

  • The 2.8 was a slap in the face from chevy. They threw it together to have a small v6 to put in the trucks and mid-sized cars. They arn't a good motor.

  • blah blah blah what are you saying exactly?

  • I'm saying that the 2.8 is a piece of crap motor.

  • dont get me wrong I have 2 of them, but from the factory they just suck. they may seem to have power, but after about 100K they go down the toilet.

  • I am assuming your opinion stems from your mechanical skills and I think that any motor laking the care and maintenance they need wouldn't last much over 100k if that.

this s10 (in the video) still runs like

a champ and hauls drywall and tools every day.

its like your saying blue is crap because it isn't green?

  • No not just from my "Mechanical skills" but all the Chevy Mechanics I work with, have talked to, and people I know who owne 2.8s

  • haha yeah he got to do most of the fun stuff.

We just got done finishing up annother 2.8LTR just like this and it spun a bearing already.. I have some footage of it but its not as cool for some reason.

  • looks like daddys doin all the work. lol

  • ain't nothing beautiful than working on your car in your garage with some good music on...

  • sweet

  • what engine is that? i have a 2.8 v6 in my 84, i want to put a V8 in but not sure if im going to yet
