I like how she differentiates the hands: hers is the right, but ours might be the left. This way it's basically foolproof, since most of have just the two hands. But seriously, this is a good exercise and principle, regardless of what mechanics you use to go about it. "Inner child" of course is just a concept.  It's all part of the mind, no matter what metaphors you use in discussing it.
