GOD I love how dangerous Dexter is. He gives off that predator vibe perfectly. Never in a second do you doubt that he could kill a man with his bare hands. Though the show only rarely hints at his martial arts prowess, which works so as not to detract anything from the story and tension. The writers cleverly avoid having him go all out Bruce Lee on us, but one or two times each season we are reminded how he quickly and brutally Dexter can incapacitate a foe.
@lemmedasker ya man, like when he kills the jock in season 6, he had to fight him and he won so easily lol some of my favorite parts are when he uses his martial arts and my all time favorite is the one vs doakes because of how bad ass it is to win a fight against a ARMY RANGER. awesome!

Just compare the way the show was shot and the dialogue to how it's done now. And Deb ... every episode in season six had her doing the waaaah-mobile while Dexter was doing something really moronic.

@iMakeEmRage When mentioned for the first time I thought they were making a joke with Deb being in love with Dexter. A therapist put a stupid idea in her head and she had a hard time shaking it off. I was really put off when I figured they were actually going with it.
True, Masuka had like five lines the entire season, Quinn wasn't really going anywhere with his depression, Batista didn't do anything, the new video game guy was confusing, I guess they'll do something with him in season 7.
The story was a bit shaky. It was shaky before, in prior seasons, but in this one you feel it.
But on a positive note, I thought brother Sam was a pretty good character. Probably the first positive friend Dexter ever had. Also, I liked Collin Hanks, I think he was a good villain. Not as good as John Lithgow, but still.
In conclusion, a bit of a deterioration in quality, but It's enjoyable enough. It doesn't kill the wish to watch the next season as for example Bones does.
