I have spent my life playing in bands and it is so rare to have such a great mix of talent that produces timeless music such as AIC. I don't care what genre it is or what period of history. AIC will always be top 2 all time for me no matter where they go from here...the new album is also damn good....Jerry waited a long time to find a new lead.....not the same but still good. Out of the three full lengthed albums, the only one that sets itself a part was the self titled album. Facelift and Dirt sounded a lot alike to me. Jerry is an exceptional songwriter. I don't really think Layne was that good of a songwriter but he still had ONE HELL OF A VOICE! Freddie Mercury and Brian May were great songwriters. David Bowie is an awesome songwriter. John, George, Paul and Ringo were all four great songwriters. And as far as DIAH is concerned, it didn't belong on Dirt. It would've fit much better on SAP or Jar of Flies.

My opinion still stands as Kurt=shitty guitarist, shitty singer, mediocre songwriter. :)
