@Lefevre1966 I personally still prefer Parros, really rare to see him lose and always there for his team mates, and Scott doesn't have a sensational tash lol
No look here. Scott made Parros completely holding on from start. Can you imagine how lethal John will be when he gets a little more experience and skill in? Top dog.
I miss John Scott :/ He's a vicious enforcer but he's also a good d-man with a good slapshot from the blue line. To me Barker should have been the one to go from the minnesota lineup.... fletcher traded Kim Johnsson for... an even worse Kim Johnsson :P
@Gunnariffic yea tell me about it. im a hawks fan and we had to deal with barker for like 3 years. kim johnsson then played like 8 games for the hawks before he got a concussion and nobody knows what happened to him since then. now i got to watch john scott absolutely wreck wesgarth the other day
Alwyas seems because he's big he's such a big tough fighter-but watching him on t he Wild, he's pretty soft as fighting goes and not a very good player
lol we already have the first Hawks fan asking about this beast. We'll be fine dude! Scott looks to be a standout guy and apparently he can drop mothafuckers at will.
@wintersnowstorm9 His job is an enforcer and he does that as good as anyone in the league. He's going to Chicago to protect Kane and Toews, not be as good as them
@34muggsy34 oh lol i know he's not going to be anywhere near as good as those two. I haven't scene him play or paid attention to him before so i was just looking for a little insight. Thanks for responding :) It'll be fun for Chicago to get to know him.
John Scott is a good guy. If you noticed at the end of the fight when he knocked down Parros, he held him up so that his head would not hit the ice. Nice.....
@rulinghabs He's a no fucking talent except with smaller guys...doesn't know how to skate..that's how low you can get with the NHL..a real big fucking joke compared with any other professional league of sports..
@rulinghabs maybe, it looks more to me like parros just holds onto scott and pulls him down on his way to the ice to break his own fall rather than the other way around.
@TheGeorgeGaston i would have to agree with that im a minnesotan too and canadian youth programs are top though ive heard that ex pros move to the twin citys to get there kids in our programs
@TheGeorgeGaston i have never been to canada to play, but whenever they come to minnesota I know that we always kill them. like 8 0. im fifteen and we play canadian teams like thunder bay in tournaments and stuff. I am sure that if we went up there we would get killed though. so I agree.
@TheGeorgeGaston There's some good teams in Thunder Bay. Obviously you have more players to choose from in Toronto but we'd play against some good Thunder Bay teams back in the 80's. We Minnesotan's take our hockey more seriously than any of the 50 states.
lol im a canucks fan and i laughed at the fight, but come on, scott has like 7 inches and who knows how much weight on bolduc. but i was laughing so hard when scott ran train on him :)
well I think the problem at the beginning of the season was that we have not gotten used to all of the new players or the new system. Now we are starting to get it but need some help in a few key areas.

On and on it goes. Minnesota has nothing to be ashamed for when it comes to hockey. The Wild's arena is the best in the NHL and I don't even live there.
Ultimately, the top couple of players in the game are not from North America, which both bickering sides belong to (so much for pride and brotherhood), they are from Russia.
What a sad day when Canadiens have nothing to feel good about is the fact that they send a lot of hockey players to the NHL. What else do they stand out for on the world stage? Really, what else have they done?
Anyway, Minnesota. It has the most players drafted to the NHL just about every year. It has players who are among the best ever. Like Canada, it is part of growing up and is part of the culture. Yes, the 1980 Olympic team showed some of that. The youth programs are amazing.
That is true. The Wild have sold out all 350 games, including 313 regular season, 24 preseason, and 13 playoff games. It is the longest current streak in the NHL with a total attendance of 6,477,690 and counting.
hahaha brock 2001 is a fagget. thats funny buddy. slightlysoopidjr is right, us wild fans dont just love the game, its our way of life. crosby is a little winy bi*tch. american teams keep your dumb ass in line.

Hockeykid7 knows nothing... Almost all of the best carreer leaders are canadians. And how many are from Minnesota? How about zero? Gretzky 2857, Messier 1887 Howe 1850, Francis 1798 Dionne 1771, Yzerman 1755 Lemieux 1723, Sakic 1641 Jagr 1599, Esposito 1590 Bourque 1579, Coffey 1531 Mikita 1467, Recchi 1442 Trottier 1425, Oates 1420 Gilmour 1414, Hawerchuck 1409 Kurri 1398, Robitaille 1394
thats a nice history lesson but what about all the canadians that got american teams the cup...we dont just play in canada you know.. will see whats up in 2010
The penguins who won the cup last year were majority Canadian players. Teams like The Leafs and Canadians are mostly Europeans and a few canadians. So what are we doing up here? Rescuing your fat dumb ass american teams from bankruptcy.
The Leafs finished dead last in the northeast division, and have more than a few canadians. Just poor drafting and development. Have vot made the playoffs since 2003-4 the same year we were in the conference finals in our third season.
If you could read you would see that I never disputed your post. And yes, the current number of NHL players from Canada is roughly 58%. So, once again, learn to read. Or don't they teach you that up there. I'm right, and you suck.
Whoever keeps bitching about fights in hockey need to shut up, its part of the game if you dont like it then DON'T WATCH IT!!! Im a huge wild fan but they have a list of things to work on and havent proven themselves yet where as the ducks beat us and won the stanly cup. You wont hear any shit talking from this wild fan.
jmiller- How many hockey rinks do you have in Mass.? Minnesota has over 300 indoor rinks, countless outdoor rinks, and over 10,000 lakes that freeze every winter. One last thing, the greatest team ever to skate, the 1980 Olympic team had 12 members from the great state of Minnesota. You may think "The State of Hockey" is self proclaimed, but I challenge you to produce any other state with anything close to that. The games in our blood, and our bloods in the game!
no you're sorely mistaken. we love our hockey, and take pride in being the State of Hockey. You guys can be the Country of Hockey all you want. Just don't ever think we would want to be anything like Canada.
Other than the fact that we sell out every single home game, our stadium is in the top 3 places to play hockey, and hmm what else.... oh yeah we're the state of hockey. Rather be an underdog with young players, than a dynasty with players in their final year
dude...why are you citing the "state of hockey" a completely self-proclaimed phrase by your own hockey team, as something to be proud of? is this really all you have? the bruins, my fav team are the "hub of hockey" but it's not something i brag about.
you do sell out every game, you have great fans, and to that, yes you can be proud...
but your team does nothing but underachieve and is always off the map when it matters...just the way it is.
You are right on man couldnt agree with you more, great fans and sold out shows but thats just more people every year that go to the games to watch them come up short.
they call the bruins the "hub of hockey" because one of boston nicknames is "the hub of the universe" (for who knows what reason) and because boston is a big hockey town, at both the college and pro levels...if you live outside of boston, you might not have heard of it...its just a dumb marketing slogan.

The Leafs finished dead last in the northeast division, and have more than a few canadians. Just poor drafting and development. Have vot made the playoffs since 2003-4 the same year we were in the conference finals in our third season.

I'm right, look it up.

Who cares we all know Canada dominates this game anyway
motomike8012 2 years ago 2
Then you realize that Canada is where Hockey is and that the idiots in Minnesota just wish they were like Canadians.
12345JJBB 2 years ago
no you're sorely mistaken. we love our hockey, and take pride in being the State of Hockey. You guys can be the Country of Hockey all you want. Just don't ever think we would want to be anything like Canada.

dude, im not a ducks or a wild fan...
but as a wild fan, you have nothing to be cocky about.

Other than the fact that we sell out every single home game, our stadium is in the top 3 places to play hockey, and hmm what else.... oh yeah we're the state of hockey. Rather be an underdog with young players, than a dynasty with players in their final year
Joshdolby 2 years ago
dude...why are you citing the "state of hockey" a completely self-proclaimed phrase by your own hockey team, as something to be proud of? is this really all you have? the bruins, my fav team are the "hub of hockey" but it's not something i brag about.
you do sell out every game, you have great fans, and to that, yes you can be proud...
but your team does nothing but underachieve and is always off the map when it matters...just the way it is.
jmiller006 2 years ago
You are right on man couldnt agree with you more, great fans and sold out shows but thats just more people every year that go to the games to watch them come up short.
droptheglove 2 years ago
Hub of Hockey? Look at their symbol... a Bruin is a type of bear... their symbol is a "B" in the hub of a wagon wheel...
fireman0504 2 years ago
they call the bruins the "hub of hockey" because one of boston nicknames is "the hub of the universe" (for who knows what reason) and because boston is a big hockey town, at both the college and pro levels...if you live outside of boston, you might not have heard of it...its just a dumb marketing slogan.
