looks like an interesting hybrid, but so much has yet to be proven. if you can't get upwind and tack easily then your launch options are limited. if the wind dies you're ditching the wing and paddling. at least with ws gear you can float back home. but for winter this beats any iceboard.
its just like kiteboarding, you can bairly go up wind and you lose a shit load of ground when you jump! only with kites you can get the heavier, steadier winds up higher. but, i'll stick with my windsurfer
@curlcurllocal Hmmm, the main problem people have with d**ks on kiteboards is mowing people down. You can do a lot of damage with some kite lines and therefore need to be careful with them. That said, 95% of the kiters i've met are under control and are perfectly considerate to everyone else on the water. Something tells me you fit into the former category though.
EXCELLENT. great footage in the mother land of windsurfing. WINGSURF surelly performs not that great on the water... YET it's all terrain hability sure gives it an imense potencial. i am windsurfer. dont fancy kite that much but sure i'll give this a go, seen it on skates, skate, skis, snowboard and windboard, with the same wing!!- that says it all
people were really down on kitesurfing back in the '90s when I started ksurfing. Give it a chance. It could be a nice compliment to ksurfing and windsurfing
