I doubt, Yemane Baria has anything to do with this song.
I believe, the song was ORIGINALLY WRITTEN, RECORDED & PLAYED by Mohammed-Brhan Atta from the "Police Orchestra" in early 1970s.
Immediately the song became a hit, CONSTANTLY BROADCASTED OVER THE RADIOS, spreading like wild-fire all over the streets, ENDA-SWAS, bars, tea-shops of Eritrea & Ethiopia.
Many Eritreans need to know ABOUT Mohammed-Brhan Atta, Tecle Tesfazghi, AteweBrhan Seghid,,,etc.
@BahreNeGash If i am not mistaken it was written by the legend Yemane Baria given & made popular by the late Ghebretsadkan.I am willing to learn & corrected for the sake of history
You have a point in that GHEBRETSADIK playing the song with "CHIRAWATA" all over ASMARA, may have CONTRIBUTED in expanding the reach & scope of the song.
But the song, ORIGINALLY WRITTEN, RECORDED & PLAYED in early 1970s, by Mohammed-Brhan Atta from the "Police Orchestra" was ALREADY popular in ASMARA-RADIO
BTW: Even though, Yemane Barya was very popular & has I lot of beautiful songs to his credit, I'M SURE, Yemane Barya have NOTHING to do with this song.
The agames tried to steal this song and claim at as their own. This is another "saba-Sabina" song where Eritreans sang it first and agames copied it and claimed it as theres. Eritrean singers are always copied by disgusting agames.
EXCELLENT GRAPHICS!
