I own several engine packs from GM&O Simulations and I want to warn everyone DON'T buy any products from GM&O Simulations. GM&O Simulations does not stand behind their products. GM&O Sims describes a 'glitch' on some units (Premier Loco Pack) and there's a fix for it but the download link is broken. Don't believe my warning - just look for the email address -. there isn't one because GM&O Simulations doesn't support their products. When is come to GM&O Simulations - LET THE BUYER BEWARE!
@xhoghead48 ..You are obviously having a bad day sir. I am sorry you are a hot head. If you were really having issues with my sets, then you would have contacted me directly using the e-mail addy I sent your order from. Instead xhoghead48, rather than try to contact me there, or at trainsim.com, or the Mophouse, or Pay Pal...YOU did NOT even try sir. Now, as for the packs, they were fixed and the new set's uploaded 4 days after release. The update was for prior orders.
I was not around when the GM&O was operating and I never heard of them. But one day I went over a friends house and we where getting ready to leave for a game when he got a call from someone and we went over his house to pick him up and he showed us his layout in HO scale. I was really moved by his layout and I really liked the "redbird" paint scheme on they're newer locos and from then on I decided to model the "GeeMo" in N scale.
The GM&O will always live on! They werent taken over but they merged with the IC to beocome the ICG on August 10 1972. The "Gummo" was still operating in the black at the time unlike most roads in that era. I love these simulations.I would get MSTS just for these! Thanks for sharing!
Please I hope you don't think I was correcting you. There's always somebody ready be critical, and I hope I didn't come off that way. But my Dad was a 40 year GM&O man. I worked 10 years for the ICG, starting only months after the merger. But there was a lot of GM&O equipment still around even into the 80s, until they covered that beautiful paint scheme up with that ugly IC orange! On and by the way-I do know decade actually has a D instead of an f. Looks like I was talking about coffee!
It's funny how hindsight works. Back then I thought I hated parts of it. Going to work in the middle of the night, never knowing when you would go to work or get home...... But now I look back on it with great memories.

Great shots-though the time period is about a decafe off. By the middle 70s the GM&O had begun its exit, taken over by the IC in 1972.
jimandmarcus 2 years ago
Thanks! That's true, but they did at least exist for a short period of time in that decade. Mainly, I just wanted to give it a 70s theme.

That's okay. I was just explaining myself, not criticizing your critique. Interesting jobs to have, working on those railroads.

Hello, first of all, congratulations for their work.
As for the line, I went to the Train-Sim and not found the line. The only thing I found, to "La Salle, Rockford, and Central" were files of activities
Can you help me? Thank you!!

Not as indepth at the other videos were. How come?

It's a mini-review. There's less to discuss with regards to locomotives than with entire routes.

This is a wonderful route. Great work.
