@warriorades The Doctor dies in many episodes, at least around 10, maybe 11 of them. One death for every new regeneration. There was no Regeneration from the 8th Doctor to the 9th, so that one doesn't count, but every one of the other Doctors died in an episode to be followed by the next incarnation of him. In the latest series, the Doctor dies on the beach and doesn't Regenerate, but I'm sure they'll fix that :P

Something I *really* didn't like about this scene is Rose being upset over the prospect of the Doctor regenerating and her "losing" the Tenth Doctor when she should know that it's always te same person, literally. It just showed that she wasn't in love with the Doctor, just Ten. In many ways it's better she had to settle for the Meta-Crisis!Doctor.

@cardwitch91 My English teacher and I were talking about this cause he argued that the DR.'s hesitance to change in the End of Time suggests that while CE said regenerating is NBD, the events in DT's run changed his philosophy about regeneration. After all, he did tell Donna's grandfather that he dies and some new guy saunters off or something to that effect, so by this time even the great Doctor himself sees regeneration as a death and not just a cosmetic procedure of sorts.
