This probably the only time i've disagreed with hitchens. To govern the chaotic/ medieval /religious middle east saddam hussein is the poster boy to keep the rest the western world and far east world safe. Playthell is the kind of speaker that (1) associates himself with the famous and award-winning in long-winded digressions and that (2) such an approach drives away 99.9999% of listeners who aren't already in his corner. Hitchens is a festering boil himself, and yes, I'm opposed to US genocide in Iraq (and Afghanistan) myself - but WHY did they choose such a MORON like Playthell? WHY does WBAI-FM in NYC put this excrement on the air MOST mornings?! In NYC, there are MANY Black alternatives!

I just feel Playthell does not take time to space his words. He has a lot to say and is very intelligent at that. He brings to many complicated words to the board in one sentence. Hence no spacing in between the words which leaves many complainers and haters lost. No overstanding of his science, no over or inner standing of how he views race and politics. All and all... he is head over heels above most of these other non educated white evangelist devils.

I'm shocked at how many negative comments there are regarding Playthell. I hadn't known of him prior to hearing him here, and while I can't say I agree with everything he says, he is obviously a well-spoken intellectual and for that reason surely deserves some respect.
