Silent Hill: Homecoming - Scarlet boss fight.

Silent Hill 2 is the only SH game I have, and as much as I love it... thank goodness I don't own this one. I mean I consider myself a decently brave person, but if there are 3 things that scare me, they're 1. Creepy little girls, 2. Talking, living dolls, and 3. THAT THING!

My favorite boss fight in the entire series. I finish her in like 2 minutes. For some reason it always gives me the prompt to tear off her armor. And I'm really good at dodging and countering and what-not. Only get hit once or twice through the entire thing.

Well, if you manage to get the UFO ending and you start a new game file you SHOULD be able to find the laser pistol in Josh's room when you find the flashlight. ( : ^w^

I love how she cradles her dad, contemplates his apology, and then kills him and hurls his body into the wall. Talk about role reversal. But Alex has blood on his hands too, which is why she attacks you (even though Alex does't know it yet at this point).

During the fight i noticed: (1) when hit enough she kneels and nods helplessly, like she's being hit by a parent. (2) she beats the ground with her fists as you kill her.

You know, to me, getting to this boss fight was scarier than fighting the boss itself. The boss itself was incredibly creepy, but I think moving through Hell's Descent was scarier because of the atmosphere accompanied by creepy dolls, giant moving fans and narrow hallways and staircases that caused unbelievable claustrophobia was far more frightening. And what was scariest by far, was knowing who was waiting for you...

The game is a joke, but this one part of the game -scene, bossfight, and music- gets the entire Silent Hill formula right and does it justice. This is truly one of the best things in the entire series. It's absolutely mind-numbingly fucked up and creepy, the symbolism is pretty damn near perfect, and the music is chilling. It's Silent Hill at its finest, and it almost makes Homecoming a good game. Sadly, the rest of the game is just empty as fuck, and drags this masterpiece down.

@OverlordLS if you want to blame anyone, you should blame Konami. I just had a little conversation with the lead artist of this game and he said that alot of the decisions and direction was not made by the american team, but by Konami. There was lots of cool stuff cut from the game but Konami didn't give the team enough time. For me personally this game was really awesome untill it came to the order stuff.:)
