Kanye explained the women as a Phoenix. To me it looked more a like a fallen Angel, and who is the fallen Angel? Lucifer. I took the evoking of MJ as Kayne attempting to make this video the next generations "Thriller." The phoenix, as referenced in this video is probably of the Greek variety, as it is depicted in that culture as being a woman. All of the ritual aspects of what we are being shown are coming from Greek mythos and I found this entire thing very timely, as Lenon Honor been working on a series called, "Hip Hop, The Hidden Hand and the Degradation of Black Masculinity." I think he is trying to get out of a dark place right now...he has lost to death his mother and other important people in his family and we all know that celebrities are not really friends just associates in order to do business. He got pretty emotional on there when Jay Leno asked him about his mother and how she would not have approved of his actions at the Award show...that really touch Kanye...he was brought to tears but right after that he had to perform on stage with Jay-z and Rihanna for Run this town. Jay-z wasn't going to let him mess that up.

@4368jkoch I also believe he is trying to show people that he can be creative on a higher level and he is trying to redeem hisself from all the silly and ridiculous things he has been criticized about in the past. Seems like he got inspired by Marco Brambilla, that just sparked some new creative fire he has now. And you can tell he is doing a lot of research on history and mythology too. This videos seems to be an ICONIC moment for him...kinda reminds me of Lady Gaga with the Telephone video.

@cmberriTV The funny thing is since U mention Lady Gaga, is the fact that Kanye said the Gaga inspired inparticular ideas for this short film, although not entirely the whole thing. It's quite apparent that Kanye is not only sending religious tones in these videos, but Mythology, black history etc all in one package. I'm pretty sure that b4 this film was televized, we all knew that symbolism would be scattered throughout the whole thing. Question is, what's next??

@4368jkoch I am still trying to find the behind the scenes for this music video that would give more insight into what Kanye was thinking with the storyline he choose...especially the part that included Michael Jackson..that was pretty strange and creepy to me. Then there was the people with the sheets on their heads like the KKK, not to mention the Phonix was sitting underneath an Apple tree...lol...so many references all coming from different directions all meshed together.

@4368jkoch Even the dinner scene, that was like he was exposing some untold history or history that is not talked about a lot. That song that was playing were it sounded like Rihanna singing about the lights...just reminds me of ILLUMINATION. I really don't think he has one message in this video but a combination of things and some of them do not connect together. Kinda like a brainstorm put into animation...lol...so much going on ...but all to get attention for whatever reason...

@ItZMeF3RNaND0 yes, this is all about ATTENTION! ATTENTION! It seems he wants to get in tune with his creativity side in order to create a project like Michael Jackson. But Kanye's work is mixed with myth, meshed with some demonic entities and untold history. Seems like all the songs are mentioning demons and satan which is getting a little too redundant and losing "shock value.'" FYI-he wrote the story for the video and directed it too. Hopefully, he will soon come out of this darkness.

@cmberriTV I think Michael Jackson was into getting in touch with demon entities as well (on his HIStory album, he has a 777 band on his arm) - This was from a book written by Aleister Crowley (a satanist who called himself the beast), Michael just didn't broadcast demons as much - and in the end, I believe that Michael was trying to get out of it and expose the truth, and he was killed for it. I'm hoping that Kanye comes out of it too. To me he seems to be torn, confused and scared.

He was raise with more knowledge on the scriptures but he seems to be speaking of the devil, demons and satan in all his songs now. Jesus walks how he got us, and then we found out the true person. Just like Hitler used Christianity to control the people and after that control he evilness came out hard. These are all tactics of the Devil. We and Kanye must not be deceived.

If you read the bible (not the roman catholic bible, and yes there is a difference) you will see its used frequently, the seven trumpets in revalations, the seven angels, that blow the seven trumpets, the opening of the seven seals all of this is in revalations. Also God made the world in seven days. 666 is a in oppostion of 777 and is a demonic number, and is the mark of the beast, the anti christ, this also in revalations.

@lonsted 777 was the name of a book written by Aleister Crowley. The book is about esoteric knowledge and getting in touch with demonic entities. Aleister was a huge satanist, but he did believe in GOD/YHWH (the hebrew name of GOD) and he grew up in church, so he knew the power of the #7. As always though, satan warps the true power of GOD/YHWH. 7 is the number of perfection, so what satanists do is meld this knowledge with false gods to become gods themselves, and try to push it as truth.

@Sevyn75 Believe me my friend 777 is not to do with satan, it is symbolic of perfection, "God is perfect in all his ways" hence the reason why 666 has one digit missing. Satan want to be God but is one digit short. God gave Lucifer alot of wisdom but he never gave him the knowledge of how to create life, you will notice that this world has an obsession with trying to make life bypassing nature, this is not by accident.....cont.

I didn't say "777" was satanic, I said it was the name of a book written by a satanist (you may want to research it before another response). "666" is the number of man, yes because there's one missing (it's imperfect). I believe in Yeshua (Jesus in english), and not only do I read daily, I truly seek him out.

I believe someone had already stated here that "777" is God's number. Michael was not into getting into touch with any Dark Spirits. Listen to Michael's Music..really listen to it. Michael believed & Followed Jesus Christ & you can see why Michael was the way he was but the world basically tried to tear him down. If anything there were Evil forces that killed Michael because he was filled with Christ Love and tried to be Christ Like. Like we all should be doing :)

@ZumbaFitPrincess You may need to do a little research, the music industry is plagued with evil and in order to be successful, there are things that have to be done, even if it goes against what the artist feels is moral. As I stated previously, Michael was trying to get away from this evil and expose it, and he was killed for it.
