  • I just yesteday purchased the 10mm version of the Witness Elite Match. It is my first 1911 style pistol.

After shooting the first 5 rounds, I knew without a doubt, I was in love! This gun is rock solid in and out of the shooter's hand. It was dead-on accurate, and after 150 rounds, NOT ONE snag. The trigger was smooth, and the recoil was extremely manageable for such a powerful round. I plan to upgrade the front sight, everything else so far, is awesome just as is.

  • @EyeSmart Yes, this gun is without a doubt my favorite... I love 1911's but I actually prefer the feel and function of these witnesses to a 1911.. Everyone who shoots this gun falls in love instantly... Front sight was the 1st thing I changed to! :)

  • @EyeSmart fyi its based off of a cz 75 style not 1911

  • @skippyricardo

    CZ 75...... Ahhhhh.

    Thanks, Skippy.

  • @evilneil187 where did you buy it? and how much?

  • @pirata142009 Silver Bullet Firearms, they ordered it for me, I think $507 brand new..

  • Can anyone tell me where to get EAA gun, I'm looking to get the Tanfo Stock 2 for USPSA Production Div.

  • the gun itself is beautiful. should i "thumbs down" your vid because i envy you, or the other way around? lol.:) nice gun..

  • i chose to buy this gun. it's perfect for me. but i just can't decide 9mm or 45acp. what are the pros and cons

  • @gtarbmx you can always get the caliber conversion kit for like 230$ shoot 9mm or 45acp on the same frame. 9mm cheaper to shoot, personal protection and stopping power would be .45 but costs alot more. If you just wanna shoot i would go 9 first because its cheaper to punch holes in paper. .45 if your going to be carrying or using for defense..

  • @evilneil187 thanks. i'll keep that in mind. i love the fact that you can get conversion kits for these.

  • @evilneil187 i just picked it up in 9mm and went to the range right away. it shoots like a dream. i'm a beginning shooter and i'm dead-on accurate with this firearm. it's nice and it's massive and extremely well-built. there's almost no recoil. the case is very nice quality and the best part is i got it for under 600

  • @gtarbmx same here, this is my first gun and i shoot groups of 6in at 35 yards. that's what i call a quality weapon

  • @gtarbmx 9mm rounds to head and chest produce same results as 45, and cheaper. Cheaper ammo= more range practice, shot control and precision.

  • @stone4bread the beauty of interchangeable calibers is that i just ordered a 45 kit for my 9mm. also they make a 22, which would pretty cool.

  • @gtarbmx I know, cool. definitely a selling point!

  • Hi evil hey nice review debating whether glock 20 sf or eaa witness match 10mm i am 1911 diehard fan and the eaa witness match 10mm has the platform of 1911 question do you know if you can install a full guiderod with spring ? are the same as 1911 parts right ?

  • @sgmg09 I think you will like the Elite Match much better than the Glock if you like 1911, the EAA handles just like a 1911 all steel and heavy like a 1911, single action ect, but easier to take apart and work on. It has a full guide steel guide rod with spring already so im not sure what you mean by that. Glocks are ok, but if you love 1911's you will like the Match way more! Let me know what you get!

  • @sgmg09

The witness is a CZ 75 clone. It is no way near the same thing as the 1911. The witness may be compatible with CZ parts, but no 1911 parts will work on it.

  • @goody2141 of course 1911 parts will not work, but it feels and handles like a 1911 if you like that style.. Heavier than a 1911 to..

  • Did it come with a Hogue grip?

  • Would you know about any internal safety mechanisms of the gun, like firing pin block and so forth? Also, any knowledge about the 22LR slide conversion kit and its effectiveness? Thank you for the video.

  • @Pivo000 Yes it has an internal firing pin block. Unfortunately I do not know about the 22lr conversion I dont have it maybe some of these other guys do?

  • @evilneil187 i just heard at my local gun shop that the 22 conversions are fairly new to the market and it might take a while before they become widely available

  • @gtarbmx you can order them directly from eeacorp.com for like 230$ why wait for your gun shop to get them!

  • I have Polymer Compact Witness 10mm. I'm in a pickle because I want a longer barrel and keep with a rail. I can buy barrel/slide for $235 and up mine from 3.6" to 4.75" like the Match. I have three mags which is nice to have on hand. Or sell mine and go to the 10mm Match and get it all but FFL would be $70 for the new one. Which one sounds best?

  • thats a beautiful pistol and that case it comes with is awesome! hell of a deal considering what you are getting for your money. btw, a small puppy is kicked everytime someone calls a magazine a "clip"

  • how much it cost this beauty???

  • italian weapon are the best in the world........

  • Any FTF or magazine issues? I heard EAA has mag problems.

  • @kilowogglc No I have had 0 issues of any kind in about 2000 rounds so far. I use factory ammo. I have heard of mag issues but it sounds like people who reload and different bullet lengths.

  • @evilneil187 Thanks! I've been on the fence with the EAA Witness Match-thinking about getting the 40SW. Forums I've gone into talk about mag problems w/9mm, 40SW & 10mm but not with 45acp or higher. Mags are big thing to me since I believe they're the heart of a good firearm. The EAA Witness Match is absolutely the best buy on the market. Its a lot of gun for the money. Thanks for your reviews-best ones in YouTube on the Witness Match! Hope you do one on changing the factory sights & holsters.

  • @evilneil187 What size gloves you wear? Just want to get an idea of the grips size of the pistol.

  • @kilowogglc I would say large, Fits my hand like a glove, most comfortable semi I have ever handled, the Houge grips made it even slimmer vs the stock grips. If you wanna know what one handles like go down to your gun shop if they don't have Tanfoglio's grab a cz the grips are pretty much identical.

  • @evilneil187 I'm a large too. Had a CZ 75B before. Will try the Hogue grips once I get the pistol. Good info! Thanks!

  • @kilowogglc

I bought a couple CZ75 16 rd mags for mine, and had ftf problems if I put 16 rounds in them. With 15 rounds it's been 100% reliable.

  • @kilowogglc I have one as well. There used to be a problem when you loaded more than 10 rounds into the magazine, but they have new mags that fix the issues. I have run probably around 3000 rounds through it and the only FTF that I have ever had was with Ultramax remanufactured ammo (which is really crappy stuff to begin with.) I also started reloading and have not had any issues. You could make the old mags work reliably by reloading the bullets a little long.

  • mmmmmm... I like steeeeeel...

  • reliable? It seems like an ideal home defense gun

  • @migkillertwo yeah it would solid and heavy easy to keep all your shots on target and perfect controls and handling.

  • @evilneil187

You dont happen to own a cz75 do you? I'd like to know how the grip dimensions compare. My dad just bought a CZ75 for home defense and plinking, and it has the best grip I've ever seen on a handgun.

  • @migkillertwo

The grips are actually interchangeable with a CZ75. I have a hogue grip for a cz on mine. (Mine's not the match version, but I imagine the grips are the same)

  • Dam I wish I could get it here in Australia for that price! runs at ~1500 here.

  • Any problems loading up the factory mag to full capacity? Do you have spare mags? Wheres the best place to get good reliable spare mags?

  • How many magazines does it come with?

  • @kilowogglc Just one unfortunately but really for the price. Worth every penny!

  • @evilneil187 Any problems loading up the factory mag to full capacity? Do you have spare mags? Wheres the best place to get good reliable spare mags?

  • 17 shots wita 9 milameta

  • i want this in .38 super.

  • please tell me that they are making all of these with the accessory rail...thats what im gathering...every one ive seen this year has one...so i am going to try to get one..

  • @fireball676 I think they stopped making the non rail models in 2009. So if you order one new you will get the model with accessory rails. EAA and Tanfoglio websites still show pictures of the model without rails even tho they only offer the railed model now. One down side is for me at least is the gun weight has gone up with the railed model. I get 44.6oz with empty mag. I bought this gun to compete in IDPA ESP division and the weight limit is 43oz with empty mag.

  • @evilneil187 thats a bummer on your end.....im not looking to compete just yet...if i do ill probably try to get into something that will accept it .

  • @fireball676 I am working on getting the weight down, I had a friend make an aluminum guide rod and with some wood grips im fairly sure I can hit the 43 oz. Just going to aluminum guide rod drops it to 43.5oz so im very close. Diffrent grips im sure will do the trick.

  • @evilneil187 yea the grips should do it...dont get wrap arounds though

  • I was seriously wanting a Ruger P95 up until I heard about these. I think you may have sold me on the EAA Witness, dude. Good review.

  • @darkwriter77 Get it you will NOT be disappointed I promise. Honestly for the price I dont think there is a more solid and accurate gun!

  • I would try henningshootsguns . com or midwayusa . com

  • i just bought an older witness 9mm as my first handgun. i love it. The gun is simpley awsome even though it totaly ripped off the cz75. thanks for the review

  • @OregonBackpacker Tanfoglio really improved on the CZ designs. They offer a way bigger selection of pistols specifically made for competition shooting with better build and price point.

  • @evilneil187 ya i know they do. i meant they took the CZ 75 and made it better. the grips on my gun are messed up. do you know where i can get some cheap ones?

  • Cool thanks a lot!

  • I have a tanfoglio witness 9mm too but it's a little older than this it looks like. But I was wondering where you get parts for yours it's hard for me to find anything for mine like grips and magazines

  • henningshootsguns . com everything you could ever want and more!

  • Yeah for the price you cant go wrong. If you ever are in the market for a new gun don't hesitate to get this awesome pistol!

  • Looks like a high quality pistol....nice! I love my Glock, but there is nothing like a nice single-action only automatic.
