Although I think the US clock of 2008-2010 and the current UK format shit all over Australia's hot seat format, one advantage with Hot Seat is that the answers appear one by one and the clock doesn't start until Eddie has read out the 4th answer.

That's what should've happenned in the US version and what should happen in the UK version.If it had been done that way, you wouldn't have scenarios where the host spends most of the countdown reading 4 lengthy answers (yes sometimes they're very long)

It's just me, but I don't like the clock idea. It's just...I know it speeds up the pace of the game, but in all honesty, as it speeds the pace of the game, it forces the contestants to read the questions a little too quickly, and we know what that does to some people.

I'm glad that if you run out of time, you at least keep the money won from the last question, that part I am pleased about.
