  • The person I took this recipe from told me later that they don’t take it out from dish. It stays there like trifle. Dish should not be very deep, its served semi frozen just a spoon will do. That’s not the tricky part its very thick and soft just like ice-cream. But very delicious

  • this looks soo good u make food very different style however my hubby doesnt like much sweet but i will make it anyways

  • Good luck! I hope he likes it.

  • thank you for your kind comments on my recipes. I could not understand your comments but your so visual I could do the recipe..ty

from MJ Storey author of the book "Vegan Cooking from the Flying Laptop"

I personally seldom use pure cream but whip it with a blender to double the volume..

but ty your comments were very kind

  • Salam Bajia...

Bohat achi recepie hay...Bajia can I use the cream which is already whipped and sweet??? because the thickened cream whish I found here is not that much thick as I can see yours in the video?kia wo ziada metha tu nai ho jaiy ga

  • allah :) wo cream meethi nahin hai:) just fresh basic cream. nothing added or removed. dehan se, thick na ho ko-e nahin. bus cream ho.

  • I really love your recipes. You are a great cook!!

  • Thank you!

  • hey!! very nice dessert..are you thinking of adding seekh kebab to your list...I'm looking forward to it...

  • I know how to make seekh kababs but I dont feel they are 100% not like olden days bundoo khans kababs. Isi liye nahin diye. Un main ab talak kuch missing hai mera. Sab ko to bohot achey lagte hain.

  • O yes! Leave the dish out of freezer for an hr or 2 then give a push with knife or large frying utensil. Its going to leave the dish with a jog completely. If not then place the dish in hot water till butter melts a little at the bottom and thats how it can be removed easily.

At that time its already thawed melting a bit. It doesnt ever leave the crust behind. Its at the bottom and frozen tightly and last to melt. Give it a go the taste make you forget all its flaws 

  • Are you sure that after its frozen and we turn it upside down, the cream will come out with the Crust? Doesnt it get stuck to the bowl?

  • If you push a little with knife it just slides out as a block other wise take some hot water in a bowl and place your dish in it for a while. Butter will melt with heat and you can easily turn it over.

  • Great receipe!! Thx for posting.

  • Thank you!

  • looks yummy thx for uploading.

  • Thanks!

  • No one actually waited for it to be thawed  every body broke a frozen peace from the dish and it never got to the stage of turning over or getting out of the dish.

  • hope u had a good time with guests---it would hv been perfect if u could show the final frozen shape---

i think thikened cream is called double cream here in UK--?thanks

  • @mrsdurrani

I was thinking the exact same thing! I was waiting for it.

  • love it
