  • I love being multi-racial!!

  • That's right be proud of what and who you are

  • I hhhhhhatttttttttttttttte TYRA booooooooooooooooooooo

  • U wanna kno y my name is peanutbutter3142180? Guess.

  • I don't think the curly head woman was trying to offend anyone. I can agree with what she's saying. When ppl ask me am i mixed i do get offended because our society tells us being black is 1 shade. Why do i have to be mixed to be pretty? Why can't i just be black???

  • When both AA women hugged at the end I literally almost teared up...now that's what I want to see within the black community.

  • people think i'm mexican or south amaerican but i'm french greek british white indian but i don't get mad when people think i'm mexican its not a bad thing lol there mexicans that look like me so i except the fact that i do look mexican lol

  • I am black & i have been mistaken for being black & Native American because i am very red and have nice long hair. But my mom is very fair almost white & my dad very dark thats why im this color. I think ppl are full of ignorance cuz black ppl can come in all shades of colors to!

  • @raynboe83 Amen to that :)

  • The girl with the curly hair makes it seem like it's bad to be mixed. When people ask me if I'm dominican I don't freak out. They're just curious...So Calm Yo Ass Down.(;

  • @XoXblaxicanXoX I agree she makes it seem like being mixed is the worst thing ever and she makes me angry because I am mixed and she sounds like she does not even like people like myself.

  • @XoXblaxicanXoX Yup yup yup. Weirdly enough, in high school, everyone thought I was Puerto Rican because of my facial structure (high cheekbones, almond-shaped eyes, full lips etc) but really I'm ~80% white and the rest is Native American lol But I always thought it was kinda funny and cool that people thought I was Latina, cuz I love my Latinos so I didn't take offense xD However, the lady with the curly hair does indeed offend me -_-

  • The 1 in the middle really thinks she's all that. (Mellow Yellow, light bright, oh your hair is so pretty) While she was saying it she had a smerk on her face like she LOVES hearing those things coming from ppl.

  • people do crazy things like that and judge black people. People think that I look so different than my parents bc they are darker than me wtf. I know almost all black people have other races in their family done the line so whatever. People judge too much and I think it may never change smh

  • I think that it is kinda crazy tha tI think Janell is super beautiful, way prettier than the other girls, being light or dark has nothing to do with beauty!

  • That girl from the audience in the purple had a valid point.

Stupid Tyra show for dismissing a point that goes against theirs.

  • The way i see it...we are all human. Race doesnt exist!

  • maaaan im proud to be black and all ... but i wish cops thought i was white ^_^ lol

  • One more misconception people have is that all Asians are Chinese. Well, there are Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Philipinos etc. And btw, I'm Indian from Singapore which is part of Asia and of which India is also part of. Which means Indians are also Asians.

  • @FearlessMeAlways white people can be Asian to, like much of Russia is in Asia, and there are alot of white people in the middle east. So basically Asia has pretty much every race.

  • Fair enough there aren't alot of dark-skinned models on television or products for them, but I think that is just because coorporations don't see massive profit in it as it is to catering to the lighter end of skin tones. it's also business, not just prejudice.

  • Actually darker skinned women will be turned down by people too just like that lighter skinned woman because people think the darker you are the louder and more ghetto you are so they dont give you the time of day so, usually if you are lighter you are more accepted in society and thats just the way it is sadly.

  • I meant some asians... there are black asians (india). Indians are refered to as others an america when some of them are darker than "black-africans descents"- african american is not a race either... people should stop discussing race b/c its a silly, silly idea...

  • black is not a race people calm down... its an ethnicity...at least an america... there's no such thing as races...may be asian people--- since they have very low level of intermixing with other ethnicities and parts of africa....these women may be 100% ethnically black yes--- 100% black as a race-- bolonies... these three women know they are not 100% black as they claim- they are mix ethnic...lol...I love Tyra but she and her guests sound so silly sometimes...

  • @Saminizer16 Yeah I agree, there's no way the girl on the end is 100% African American!

  • i really liked the first woman :)

  • The last 2 girls should really reasearch their family tree's some more. Because the last girl, being pale white, saying that she's 100% black is like a guy with the biggest pair of balls saying he's 100% female.

  • One of the most beautiful thing about black women is that even though we are a 100% black we come in so many different shades of brown, so multicultural, yet we don't embrace that but condemn people within our own race because of that. keep the peace my sister we are all beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • For those of you making comments about “Don’t you realize these girls are mixed?” Of COURSE THEY ARE MIXED...but that doesn't mean their mix doesn't come 100% from Africa. You people DO realize that there are over 100 different ethnicities in Africa? You can be mixed with 3 or 4 African ethnicities and STILL be 100% African (a CONTINENT housing many different countries and people)! Africa is one of the most genetically diverse continents in the WORLD. This is why the term "race" is so retarded.

  • The grl in purple is right. Peep are quick to assume and judge. The sad thing is that we all go through this prejudice

  • the 3 women know they are mix... they just to damn dumb to look at there family tree

  • "the excitement they feel for you is the contempt they feel towards me "

that lady was right on the point !!!

the audience can go to hell for pretending not knowing what she was talking about.

Racism/colorism(more prominent in today's society) will never go away unless we as a nation talk about it !!

  • One time my mom got a ticket and the cop marked her as white. We're mexican :)

  • thirdly, what is so insulting when people assume u are from different country and different race. I am white eastern european. live in uk. and i have been told i look latino, greek, italian, jewish, persian, u name it. never once i felt offended. not at all, i think it's very interesting. would it be better if they told me - u look 100% plain and boring, as plain as white can get,for example? and lastly, i am sick and tired with black people thinking they have it so hard and we have it so easy!

  • firstly, i think it's very arrogant of those girls to assume that all people they meet have to automatically know that they are black, considering that 2 girls on the right have paler skin than me, who is 100% white... and secondly, was there anything those people they've met said to offend them? no. they called them exotic. they liked their hair. lady wanted to know how her mixed raced babies will turn out to look. what is wrong with it.?

  • If they are all 100 % black, then why are they all have a different skin tone?

    They must be lying.

  • @u8myshorts20 if einstein was so smart, then why aren't you?

  • I think this light skin vs dark skin is just getting worse in the African American community. I don't know if I never noticed it before, but I don't remember it being this bad when I was growing up.

  • People need to know they're beautiful no matter what they look like, it makes me sad when I see people putting themselves down...

  • Slave-black girl is one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen.

  • That self proclaimed slave-black girl isn't normal.She is hot,like HOT.

  • oh my..the "slave-black" girl is so pretty...i dont think she realises that

  • Did these people who say they are 100% african american ever think that their light skin could be attributed to the fact that almost 50-80,000 Irish white people where made slaves in the carribean sugar cane fields along with african slaves and they had children together!!!! so maybe you are not 100% black after all LOL

  • The first women said it perfectly, it is the slave mentality and it isn't her problem it's society's problem.

  • When will people get over race? For these people individually their race (outer appearance) doesn't matter they affirm their identy because of their inherited heritage and their culture. Take note america, it doesn't have to be about a color, how about a culture.. too bad to america can't grasp that because of the racial dynamics due to black/white relationships coming from slavery

  • lol that last girl look stright up like white girl

  • I'm 100% White and proud! Now think about it, when was the last time you heard someone say that?

  • @Gaeilgeoir96 I never hear anyone say that. Because everytime someone says that they get offended because they think the person who said that is racist. I am also proud to say I am white. I get along with people of all races. Yes, I may be proud of beng white and I may be proud of my heritage, but that doesn't make me racist. Everyone should be proud of who and wat they are. :)

  • @Gaeilgeoir96 I'm white to and here the indians have their "native pride" flags and stuff, and boy would you offend some people if you wore a "white pride" cap.

  • That "slave black" lady is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen!

  • sorry

  • Adrienne looks like a lizard

  • I don't know what that girl in the audience was talking about....she's not even dark like that...she's crazy...and beautiful, by the way...

  • These ladies are OBVIOUSLY mixed. I guarantee u they are not full African American -_-

  • It's obvious that this three women are ignorant and are confuse about culture and race; even when both their parents are black if you go back into their family tree you would find other races in the mix.

  • @NEBESHIKU

No they are not confused! What is wrong with identifying yourself as just black? It makes things more simple. If both of your parents are African-Americans not from another country then calling yourself black is quite the norm. It's almost as if you want these women to be anything but black! Let them call themselves what they want!!

  • @NEBESHIKU Culture would have been if they were adopted. If you consider that genetics only go back 8 generations, it makes only the slightest difference. The girl in the audience, you could say she was black by culture too, but because of her skin, you wouldn't dare. My parents are white, but my skin is dark...

  • I hate when people act like they don't know why race is a big deal. Especially in the United States of all place! Just think about it. Open up a few history books and I think you should get the gist of it. I don't make race a big deal as an American but I'm not going to pretend I don't know why it's an issue.

  • @gatheringleaves ACTUALLY Africans have the highest variation of genotypes and phenotypes and often are born lighter or darker complexioned than their parents with no admixture.

  • the first two luk bi-racial.......the last one looked 100% WHITE

  • She didn't finish the first group i hate when she does this

  • "100% black and proud!" i love how she said that

  • they are not 100% black, that BS, just because their parents are "black" doesn't mean they don't have other blood further back the line. I'm willing to bet a lot of money that one or both of the parents of the two last girls are not exactly black as a moonless night.

  • @Shinkajo genetics is not what you want it to be, it's science

  • @Shinkajo you cant hate because they're all proud of being black;)

  • @Shinkajo

I agree with you, Americans are so stupid and deluded, there are NO full-blooded Africans that are as light as the last two girls except Albinos, so those two girls definitely have non-african blood in their ancestry. I should know because I am very light skinned and I have alot of non-black ancestry in my family

  • @Shinkajo yea you are right. Their parents are black doesn't mean they are 100% black.

However, I found the lady on the left got very nice skin shade that brown shade is like Tyra.

  • @Shinkajo actually hereditary history doesnt matter if it did you would find that we are all related kind of contradicts what you just said lol

  • @Shinkajo I was going to say the same thing, they must have some white ancestors, I've seen freak incidents of a white couple having a black baby (and he really was the father), sometimes the genes skip generations, and then just show up again.

  • That's a fucking scary notion O_O

  • I don't get the united states.

Here in my country we don't see race. period.

  • No fucking way the 2 other girls are African-American. Not even mixed. They look pure white.

  • WFT why do you need to put you race on a speeding ticket??? Is the price different? Thighs like that is asking for racisme!!!

  • I think this is bullshit. All sorts of people are racist...there is way too much focus on it. People need to get over themselves and stop judging people. Period. Yes some people can be hurtful, but my gosh, people just focus way too on judgments and judging. Get over it. It does NOT matter! The less people judge other people's differences, the better off the US and countries all over the world would be.

  • My mom's as light as the lady in the middle and right hand side, Adrea and Marvelle. She's 100% black, too as in, my grandparents on her side are both black. We have loose curls and are extremely light-skinned. People actually argue with her and me on the issue. It shouldn't even matter.

  • @SuicidalNun

I'm sorry to tell you this but your mother is NOT 100 percent black or African. There are no full-blooded Africans as light as your mother, that means she is mixed with non-african ancestry somewhere down the line. Africa is a very hot and humid continent and people as light as your mother could not naturally evolve there, with the exception of albinos. The lightest natural Africans are the San Bushmen and they have a high yellowish-brown complexion, so your mom is not fully black

  • but you see here is the ignorance Hispanics or Latino =white, black,Asian, mixed and all that not only brown

  • white people don't think they are better than black people... black people think white people think they are better than black people.

  • @OraleNesto i wana fuck that light bright chick in the salmon top

  • race is a big issue in america cause racist, discrimination, and stereotyping still exists here. If someone says it's not around youre ignoring it or pretending it not there. Even tho the president has african ancestory the klan still exists, Neo nazi still exist, and racial profiling still happens. Just youtube search anything with black, hispanic, Asian in the tags and you will see racist ppl bashing minorities. im not saying its easy being white im saying racist is still around

  • I don't understand howcome they have a total white complexion and still are black. Could anyone explain that to me ?

  • @GamblingDementor I don't get it either. I thought the last one was just italian or something--no black whatsoever

  • @GamblingDementor it's prob inherited from a past family member.

  • Its more of a female thing then just a black thing...

  • Tyra fucking Banks needs to stop interjecting and let these people finish their sentences

  • and the girl in the middle complainging that it is the same to be condemed for being black with coarse hair as being revered for having "good" hair and "pretty" skin i feel for her & dont want her to be put in a box but come on

  • ok i was feeling what the woman on stage was saying about the misconception of her being arrogant in regards to being mistaken for mixed because that is not fair you never know some1's character until they open their mouths. But her denying that their are advantages? she just said herself ppl held her in a higher regard because of that same missconception. & no1 is saying they are 100% black its rare to find any1 who is but you know what they mean there is no other heritage influence from home

  • omg..interesting!

  • There is no way in hell that those two girls are just black...they must have at least one white ancestor but they don't know it...the girl in blue kinda reminds me of Jennifer Beals and she's biracial even if she looks completely white.

And no one is 100% anything! Maybe the only "racially pure" people are the ones from African, Polynesian or Amazonian tribes...but no one can claim that they're 100% black or white or whatever anymore.

  • @TheRaspberryHoney Exactly. For some reason a lot of people seem to think that racial mixing is a recent phenomena. In reality different races have been interbreeding for hundreds and thousands of years. Hell, there are even some people with some neanderthal blood in them, so the chances of someone being 100% of anything are drastically low.

  • Lmao that black lady is bitching for nothing

  • how can someone say something so mean: "your hair is so nice" what a bastard...

  • My parents are from East Africa (Somalia actually) but was born in Canada. I would say I am on the "lighter' side of medium brown skin. I have "soft hair" and very Arab looking features. I constantly have black people telling me I am not black just because of how I look. They call me Arabic Black or they call me Black with White features. When I go to West Africa they all think I'm mixed, and white people ALWAYS ask me what I am. It's annoying I'M BLACK! I AM DIRECT AFRICAN. Leave me alone!

  • @dramaqueen465 i am one hundred percent WEST AFRICAN no mix that i know of in my heritage , and yes, east africans are PURE AFRICAN .. its not something a lot quite understand because of the limited ideas of what "africans" look like we are DIVERSE period.

  • and that girl in the middle is a retard...whining about getting compliments and telling that stupid story about her friend...cumbucket

  • as an extremely light black person...i totally agree with the black girl that said it's harder to be dark...even if it's just from a self esteem standpoint. and that black bitch on the left looks black as hell...shut up about looking indonesian bitch

  • even though i'm near 100% white (there's debate on whether or not i have some Native American heritage) i never state my ethnicity on, for example, the PSAT's or a job application.

  • haahahah the girl in the middle is defiantly biracial she cant call her self fully black kinda like self hatred

  • All I am saying is that its not exactly the easiest thing to do (embracing your darker skin) if all youre hearing is negativity about it..you stated that your family has gotten compliments well some dark skinned females havent even gotten that. No one wants to be ashamed of something like that..it all comes from something, although i feel darker skinned girls should feel a little superior to other complexions, their scars dont show, acne doesnt show, etc, theyre just LUCKY! lmao :)

  • ok that girl who sayed "Slave black" well let me tell you sweetheart, she is ignorant because pretty much all races that were Nonwhite were slaves in history, and thats one thing many history books fail to mention. during the 1800's millions of chinese were used as slaves to build the railroad system here in USA. when the british ruled india, they made slaves of indian people and wherever the british traveled they took an indian with them for service and slave work. so everyone nonwhitewasaslave

  • see the problem is here in america, people judge way too much on skin color and looks. i mean looks dont mean nothing... and you can never judge a book by its cover or judge by looks, and thats one thing that Americans dont understand or never got thru their head. i guess too much stereotyping and brainwashing, my friend looks Arabic, but he is mixed half german half indian. we just live in a racist society and its all about skin color i guess. so many dark skin people are half white!!

  • There's no way the last two women are 100%black unless they have some skin condition.

  • @skinsfanh88 Technically most if not all African Americans(even dark skin blacks) are not 100% black. Most blacks have at least 10% of European DNA. They may have a larger percentage of European DNA and then again they might not. Blacks can be light like that and be 100% black.

  • Tyra looks great in that dress, it really make her breasts look big.

  • race is the same as nationality, ethnicity is the color of someones skin lol.

  • Comment removed

  • wow the black chicka with the big curls was GORGEOUS!

  • these 3 girls are fucking stupid!!!! i cant even explain my point beacuse im so frustrated at their ignorance!

  • Black people say it's so hard to be black because people discriminate, then they discriminate against their own race and say that they don't know their struggles...why should anyone feel sorry for those type of people when they dish out the same dose of hate to otherS? (btw IM BLACK!)

  • @christinatee715 i dont think that black female in the audience dished out any hate...i think she was just trying to make a point that a lot of lighter skinned black females do get discriminated against, but being darker makes people look at you just that much worse..its no competition its just a point .. ( BTW im a not dark skinned but ive seen FIRST HAND how darker skinned females do have it worse AT TIMES!!)

  • @epiphany740 Darker skinned females take it upon themselves to feel crappy about their skin color. A lot of them use it as a crutch to get through life when they shouldn't. If people with darker skin were to embrace their beauty they wouldn't care what anyone else had to say. It's not an excuse because my sister and my mom are dark skinned and they get compliments and numbers all the time!! They embrace that their black is beautiful and don't care what anyone has to say about it.

  • Tyra is not a good host; you're supposed to let the women explain their story and that's it, it's seems like every other minute she's butting into their conversations and giving her inputs. Just shut up Tyra and let the women talk, please.

  • I thought Janelle from the audience made a good point. It wasn't politically correct, but it had a lot of truth to it.

  • Comment removed

  • THIS STR* UP BULLSHIT !!! for u to be a white man u have to be PURE FULLBLOODED white. But u can be mixed up with all kinds of shit and be labeled black. THIS IS STR8 UP SELF DESTRUCTIVE !!! Why am i the only one who can see this

  • The one in the purple looks and talks like Michael Jackson. XD

  • They aint 100 % African American because Im not even 100 % African American and Im dark skinned o_O

  • Um there is no way that the 2nd and 3rd women are 100% African genes. There is no way via genetics that their skin color can be that pale. Unless they have some sort of skin disease like Michael Jackson did. There had to have been some sort of event in the past where a light skin color gene was introduced into their bloodline.

  • @kevincc13 lies black people are coloured people don't misconcieve that to be light u have to be mixed i've seen it many a time when 2 dark skinned parents produce light skinned babies it's more common than u think there r also times when 1 parent is white or light and one is black or dark and the baby comes out really dark skinned .just cause someone 100 % black doesn't mean they have to be dark skinned .

  • @janat39 I agree that they don't have to be dark skinned. However that is an exception because it will be a mutation. Unless the mutation is statistically significant compared to the rest of the population, it is disregarded. Therefore your skin color, which is determined by the genes you inherit will determine your skin color. If your father's side is very dark and your mothers is very dark, then so will you. In the scenario where light skin is inherited, ancestry needs to be determined.

  • @janat39 umm of course it does. if you have white features or white skin somewhere down the line there is white blood... a pure african will not have light light skin or green eyes or silky smooth hair... it is genetically and racially impossible... 2 white people can have a black baby if they have anyy black genes in either one of them... and same goes for 2 black people... none of those women are truly 100% black... they are mixed somewhere down the line OBVIOUSLY ...jeezz

  • So what do dark skinned girls think about Carmel girls because I was was very pale when I was born because my great grandmother is white and my granny is black, white and Indian, and now I'm Carmel color.

  • I understand with adreia

  • Does Tyra also do movies???

She should ... think she is a good actrice!!!

    yeah ...

  • WHY is that 'race' thing SO BIG in the USA???

WHY are they putting people in boxes = you know like state 'race' on a speedingticked OR when you apply for a job???

Allright not everything is good in Europe. But it looks to be an even bigger problem in the USA .. land of the Free?!?!?!

  • @AngeliqueEU: It's a throwback from the segregation-days. Up to that point; there was a clear devide between White and "other".It was common law untill the 2nd half of the 20th century. No wonder you still see such a preoccupation with race. In europe we don't have that problem. The problems we face in Europe has more to do with national identity. A black american is an "american". A black European(like myself) is ALWAYS "from somewhere else"-never a native .We have boxes for different reasons.

  • @rodkongasan80 thanks for saying that, you saved me from typing a lot of words. That is exactly what I wanted to say. I'm black and I was born and raised in Germany. I speak German better than most people my age and I'm oding my A-levels and still I always get asked where I'm from or if the person has never met me they expect me to dumb and not able to speak their language. It's obviously not always like that, but I think it's a pretty good example to confirm your comment...

  • @AngeliqueEU you may not be aware of it but it is a problem for people everywhere

  • Comment removed

  • @AngeliqueEU I was thinking the same thing, what's up with all the race-talk in the U.S? Doesn't America stand for a nation made up of all kinds of races, yet trying to be one? With uch emphasis on race, that's never going to happen...

  • @AngeliqueEU ok but there you go grouping a whole nation as one mentality. you have just contradicted yourself.

  • @AngeliqueEU You guys call black players in football games niggers and monkeys and you're gonna come out with this bullshit? Pfft

  • @AngeliqueEU lol ikr im from america an i completely agree wit u

  • @AngeliqueEU i agree! i'm from new zealand, and though the polynesian and european thing, is somewhat like the black and white conflict in USA, it's no where near the same level! i'm part maori, i have polynesian heritage, but i'm half british and have a british passport. no one judges me for being both!! i don't get this in the US!

  • ALL PEOPLE ARE BEAUTIFUL :D

    PS

    The white girl :D

  • I find it hard to believe that all of these girls are 100 percent black, the two light skinned girls clearly look mixed and if there not mixed then where are the light skinned tribes in Africa that they descend from?

  • Wow the brown skinned girl in the audience is really bitter. I agree she may have suffered but the light skinned girl suffered too. Instead of arguing it out she should learn how to come together with the light skinned girl and come up with solutions for change. I am brown skinned and I did experience colorism from other black people but my best friend is light skinned and she experienced discrimination too for being too light.

  • Yes, what people don't understand is that black is not just about skin color its a culture too. In the black community there are a range of colors. My grandmother was brown skinned but her 4 other sisters and brothers came out light browned skinned with grey eyes. Both of her parents were brown skinned.

  • Well, I am black and I don't like most puerto ricans either. Every puerto rican I met was crazy. I went to San Juan and the puerto ricans were extremely racist. Most puerto ricans I met were criminals and they always act as if any puerto rican that wants to claim their black side is "stepping down". I personally don't think so. I'd rather be black anyday.

  • *(a) colored

  • wait a minute, i don't think its right to frown at a colored people because of skin bleaching. Celebrities do it, and its ok!! but when dark skinned black person does it, people become judgemental and hate on them. To me its no different from caucasian and other women having breast augmentations and dying their hair blond because they want to look good. Just as it runs deep with white people it runs deeper with black people, and if u haven't any bodily ateration cast the first stone!!!!

  • You know i am mixed and i am about the shade of the lady in purple on stage and damn i get coments from white ppl like i should stop acting white and from black ppl telling me i should stop acting black :D some ppl are so ignorant and i say im not black im not white i am caramel :D !

  • @CrazyStellaRockin well dats everyones problem we hate everything lol

  • I don't know how anyone can mistake the first black woman. I definitely can tell she's black, and I guess because she got so-called good hair, some would think she was mixed with something, but she look black to me. There's no one type of black. Black folks come in different shades, features, and hair textures, people need to grow up.

  • Obviously the last two girls got some white in them, that maybe they inherited from slavery, but if the past three or four or five generations of their family been black, then that's what they are.

  • @STLouis1995 I agree with you. If those girls say their black, then they are. At the end of the day they get to choose. I'm glad their proud to be black, since we got so many who claim biracial or multiracial, I'm glad to see someone who wants to be black. Sometimes the light skin girls are more prouder to be black then the lighter ones. In this world, what makes you black is your culture and experience, not necessarily color or race anymore.

  • Its true dark and light black women have a lot in common. They both are kind of hated and octrasized by their people. The only blacks that have it good are the brown skin, honey skin blacks, their not too dark, not too light. The dark-skin and real light blacks have it very hard, because one is too black and then the other too light. We need to get rid of this slave mentality, and come together. To whites were all black. If we keep fighting about color, we'll always stay down, and whites stay up

  • The last 2 ladies are 100% black? I would've never guessed! All 3 ladies are gorgeous

  • Comment removed

  • I got cousins that look like all three of those ladies it's how it is when you are a product of the African diaspora

  • i admit when the last girl said she was black i let out a big BULLSHIT but when i looked at her more i could see it lol

  • "So exotic looking" means not looking as black as normal.

  • All girls are beautiful! =D

  • i feel like "African-American" is the wrong term...i feel if your parents are from africa or grandparents (not this long lineage where everything gets mixed up, so even the blackest of people have white) then you should be considered "african-american" otherwise i think these girls are just black or black-american

  • @animegirl506 I disagree. I feel like more blacks should claim the term african-american. It doesn't matter that hundreds of years have passed and you can't directly trance your ancestry through a parent or grandparent. Most of the people who consider themselves black/African-American are descended from African slaves. Personally I view a term "African-American" as the experience of the African slaves in America & their ability to adapt to the U.S. I view black as more of a cultural identity.

  • @animegirl506 I agree. Italian Americans are people whose parents immigrated to the US, and they were born here, but are still 100% Italian. If their kids become mixed, they're not Italian Americans anymore.

  • the girl @ 3:27 is beautiful...her skin is magnificent

  • I Got News For The So Called 100% Black Girls..

  • wow.. america has a real problem with races

  • Oo i am Ghanian. Lol ;)

  • I hate when an African American assumes that they have it worse than everyone and that light skinned people have it made. Well with that mind-set you're just spreading racism towards whites. Yeah, I'd say there may be more racism towards blacks, but as a white girl, I've felt discriminated against at times too.

  • @B0red2deathx3 I am a light skinned African American women and have only received racism from my own people. I have been called "yellow" and i have been told Im not a "real" black person. Now yes blacks do receive more racism but some of them exhibit the same racist attitudes toward lighter skinned people which only leads to the saying "the pot calling the kettle black" I love my race but some of them have double standards when it comes to being racist.
