anywhere between 180 and 205 depending on which LS you dropped in the car

Also depends on the trans axle. Use the 5 spd and yeah, 180 but use the expensive 6spd it will do well over 210

In theory I know your right, but the variables that would be this vehicles biggest limiting factors would be tires and the sheer horsepower needed to overcome nature at 205mph+. ( The Top Gear Veyron test has a great example of this with how much horsepower is needed to get to ~255)

No debate, this car is an acceleration monster, but I would think it would need some Turbo's to get in the 210's 220's.

...love to see what they could do with the top speed though, a great platform to start with

Yeah I have seen a Ford GT with a whipple supercharger do 225 MPH. It had 1100HP and 980 TQ.

It had eagle F1 super car tires and the stock wheels.

It's a pretty comparable car the the GTM in some respects. With the right stuff you could make a GTM a real killer.

Much heavier and less aerodynamic Cup cars were doing 220 at Taledaega (sp) years ago. And they did it with around 800 HP

does it behave well enough to be a daily driver if you didnt worry about mpg and door dings...(e.g. doesnt overheat in traffic; cabin doesnt turn into an oven once the engine warms up...like p.o.s vipers)? also is it comfortable enough for a 200+ mile trip in one shot. i would imagine since it has gm suspension and it is lighter than the corvette that suspension came from, it should ride relatively well. thanks for the video and the information!

@djborden does your gtm have the ls7 in it? if so what was the rough price with parts to build, im really wanting to get one of these and i would love to know what the ls7 builds cost cuz if its a lot then ill just pull one of the 5.7 blocks outa the barn and build a 383 stroker for one and fuel inject it...

Yeah it definitely would own the streets! heck it's acceleration already surpasses that of veyron, ford gt, porsche gt,viper,lambo and thats with just a LS6/LS7 motor! so if ya dropped the $13k-$19k extra (making it about $65k completion)change down for HO motor to go in this you'd still be about $800k LESS than the cars it would be comparible too performance wise! And Yep, you could and would own anyone! Thats impressive!

The GTM kit is about $20,000.  then you need to supply the C5 corvette suspension and brake pieces, and an engine and Porsche transaxel. then paint. Depending on what route you go, $35-40k can complete this car with an LS1.
