In the first ten minutes, Bill Evers gives a great overview with highlights of the history of education in the US. It's clear US schools are not living up to their potental. He discusses two major reform strategies. (Other than simply "throwing money" at education).
1) Standards and Accountability, or 2) Parental Choice (Restructuring). Opportunity scholarships/vouchers in public or private schools. Charter Schools=deregulated public schools. Follow health and safety, racial regs...
Ewww pepsi drinkers your first mistake there. Anyway Bill when you say 'curriculum' it's almost like a thousand words out of me at once, but no words come. Your at Hoover for god's sake and your arguing about frivoulous things like districts and how they're setup. Those lamentable things called school textbooks I can't believe someone paid money to publish and print those for use by students. They are completely laughable and that's 500 characters or less with a forty to spare that I just used.
