When Teen Nick announced the new season (Jan. 16th) they meant the third one. It was not aired in the U.S. so in meant new to the U.S. besides Phoebe (Cleo) works in L.A. now with The Secret Circle and Claire (Emma, if she was to come back which a lot of people think she is) is working on The Vampire Diaries. So if there was a fourth season it would have to be with different people. Also they all finished High School and would all be off at different colleges by now.
