@s8rider Taylors really suck man. I have played guitar my whole life and am 27 now and just about ready to start rolling out some music. I have recorded several full length cd's over the years but only passed them around at shows for free because I was having fun getting everything written. I began really concentrating on upgrading guitars and out of all the acoustics, which I was raised on Gibson J-45's, I thought Taylor's were the worst sounding and playing, spotty craftsmanship.

Taylor is a honda civic ,,,,the kay is canadian tire ,, Martin is the BMW,,, and yes there are cheap martins out there too ,,,but still number one in my books ,,,,alot IS moisture humidity and temp ,,plus string gauge will fuk up any guitar ,,,peace man

I've heard Asian OM's that sound better than anything in this video............and you should take up diesel mechanics, jousting, anvil denting, hell, anything but acoustic guitar repair. I'd recommend sticking to electrics but I've seen your stewmac potentiometer rant............so stay away form those as well. How about Landscaping? Pool cabana boy? naaaah, don't have the looks for that.

I'm not trying to sound rude but that kay sounds exactly like the "First Act" guitar I bought my 3 yr old from walmart. Plasticky with no body or volume. Broken Taylor sounds much better honestly.

For all you TAYLOR FANS - they ARE NOT THE BEST, GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!

If you like them then thats what matters and stop taking it personal. I used to own a Taylor GS5 and I can tell you that there are MANY better brand and boutiques that make a Taylor look pathetic.

If you like bright sounding guitars, then Taylor is for you.....if not then they aint for you.

.and my Dean Machine acoustic....and definitely doesn't hold a candle to my , oh so fave, Fender acoustic...LMFAOADL! Actually it sounds pretty damn good live considering it has gaping cracks in the top from severe abuse during a ocean front beach party gone horribly wrong. He woke up on the beach next to it, after making sweet love to the sound hole and now it looks like a crack ho! Or a cracked ho! Still talks a good game like one too though......

Yeah Taylor uses wood screws, bolt on necks,and shims, because they don't know how to make, dove tail,or m t necks joints. For this reason there guitars sound even worst.

Model 910ce doesn’t have a pick guard which I prefer. Also, NONE of the CE’s have a built-in tuner which I also prefer although I could settle for a little clip-on tuner. I can understand you don’t like Taylors. However, you should give the model number you are reviewing or comparing. On Amazon I found no less than 6 different Dreadnought Taylors increasing in price from $600 to $3,750. See my next post for the list. All of the “CE” models are Acoustic-Electric as these are the type I prefer. Even so, I would still get a $500 Yamaha FGX730SC(A) Acoustic Electric, ASIN: B002AKSHWG, for my next guitar. I prefer not to spend more than $750.

@Cypherdude1 700-750 You can get a brand new Martin D-1 all solid wood guitar. With hybrid scalloped bracing. That blows away any Taylor. Yamaha Jap. piece of shit, is no better then a K'Mart, or Wal,Mart guitar.

Not every guitar is predestined to be an amazing "musical instrument". I need to know lol nice song just need to bring that demo to electric lady land studio to get it mastered! Oh yeh I still didn't tell ya... The Kay won more character ... The Taylor sounded not bad but generic. For the cash Taylor fetches I'd be hunting for a vintage Gibson j45 or buy more luthier tools! However I did play a great Taylor gs8 but that was once or maybe its that I wasn't all there lol.

@davey4557 Look up "Taylor 914CE - How does it sound?" That is a proper test of the 914ce. watch the whole thing because some styles sound better on it than others.
