Like it man, your version is better than the original it doen's have the AWFUL, AWFUL out of time AND badly recorded drums. What WAS he thinking?
Pearsqusher really needs to stop playing the drums on his records and stick to machine or fork out some money for once and pay a REAL drummer to do it. great work , nice cover man , I recorded this for posterity but i never bothered to record the original because of th AWFUL, AWFUL drums

I think they have a nice room sound, and his timing isn't that bad. yes, it's clear that he doesn't stay on time like some quantized beat, but I also think it's your expectations... did you want them to sound heavily produced like a pop song or metal song with a budget..?...with no push/pull/feel/groove??? I'm truly not trying to be a dick in any way, your comment just really caught me off guard for such a beautiful song...
@beeschag the drums are amazing. They sound sooo good, the actual timbre of them and the reverb is what really gets me. And the fact that they drift out of time then come back into time is nice. Seriously man he produces experimental music, what do you expect? Generic breaks & structuring?
i am a bass player myself. and Squarepusher is a hell of a bass player. So this piece is not some simple shit. Considering this, you did very good!!! And a wise man once said: learn from the best not from the worst!! so you did...
this is much more better played than my rendition! i use a pick to play this but you seem to get a more better sound when you play with fingers! great stuff!
