@kjjones4 actually, baseball, track, field, and swim are all really good teams at ECU. we just dont have that great of a basketball team.... and state really doesnt have much of one either. we are in conference usa because we arent good enough in all of our sports to be added to the SEC, and we bring nothing to the table as far as tv contracts to be invited into the acc. its all about the money.

By the way, the Pirates have beaten the Gamecocks 3 out of the last 4 and the last time the Pirates and the Gamecocks played was in 1999 and the score was:

Don't get me wrong..I'm not knocking the Heels. I grew up 15 miles from UNC's campus and although I went to school at ECU, my blood runs Carolina Blue. But they're a LONG way from being a TOP football school..and I'm not so sure they can keep Butch there that long. He was sniffin' around at the end of last season.

Tarheel football has just left a bad taste in my mouth over the years....Roy will make up for it with the National Championship he's going to win this coming season.
