This movie trailer excessively violent and thus misrepresents the comic. It is probably the producer who wants to make a cheap buck out of transforming a great comic book into some super violent film. The comic was all about human resourcefulness, pitting one's self against the elements, triumphing over adversity through intelligence and in this respect was an accurate depiction of why Homo Sapiens survived by outwitting other species. It also had beautiful images of nature and even metaphors.

Esq lo de las armas y eso es mas avanzado en la trama. Tengo el primer comic de la saga Dinosaur Hunter, y ahi ya el mae usa el arco, pelea contra dinosaurios con cuchillo y hasta un narcotraficante le regala armas para q mate a los bichos esos. Lo q pasa es q los juegos no siguen la trama, no mas dicen algo para justificar estarle disparando a lo q se mueva por lo lo q dure el juego.

I need to get this movie. Although I would much prefer one based on the games, I'm still fond of the original stories as well, which this is based on. And I have no interest in the latest game that shouldn't be a Turok game anyway. The real Turok is very original and full of fun tales, while the newer one is simply a typical sci fi shooter with dinosaurs. If you're going to reboot a series, at least keep the series' idea intact.

this movie is based on "Turok Evolution" game not the "Turok" game. Differences is Turok has a character named Joseph Turok a native american and in Turok Evolution you will control a indian guy also named turok (well whatever you call it) they made a new and better game "Turok"

@azaproc This is an adaptation of the first few issues of Turok, which had no futuristic elements in it whatsoever, and focuses on Turok and his brother surviving the Lost Land. The futuristic elements weren't added to the series until Acclaim bought the comic series and decided to reboot it in the late 80's/ early 90's. Then Acclaim created the game based on the reboot and not the original. Hope this helps clarify why there is no Primagen, Campaigner, Lord Tyrannus, and Sick-Ass Weapons. :)

VALIANT Comics bought Turok from Western Publishing, introducing him to the Valiant Universe through the Unity crossover event. VALIANT introduced the sci-fi elements, and a full 53 issues were published before Acclaim bought the company with no intention of using it for anything other than making video games; they apparently decided the best way of doing this was to run the comic book company into the ground.

@NotNamedJohn Yeah, Acclaim ruined a lot of Valiant's characters, but Valiant is supposed to be bringing many of these characters back this year, starting with XO-Manowar in May. I hope to see Magnus, Robot Fighter reintroduced. Loved that character and book until the whole Unity Bullshait and then of course Acclaim's ill-fated involvement.
