This scene was one of the best in the movie, in my opinion. The music is so beautiful and poignant, especially when it builds up to 3:15. There's just something about the entire Titanic soundtrack that just bursts with emotion--its tragic, romantic, and just plain beautiful.

titanic is pretty laughable now - the script is awful and stilted, it's so over-the-top (the effects still hold up though), and it's cheesy as hell....and i will love it forever.

@absoluteitanicfreako I was thinking the EXACT same thing. The first time I saw the movie, i was like: "Wait... why didnt she get on the boat? He would have lived if she had" but i agree, i dont think i would have liked the movie as much if Jack didnt die. For one it made it unique other than those "happily ever after" kind of endings, and second it really captures the love Jack had for Rose.
