The sample on the AOTP track sounds like they threw a chamber filter on it and put it full blast, just super bloated. Also the drum fill is COMPLETELY necessary on Only Slaves D.R.E.A.M. It helps the beat seem less repetitive, meanwhile the AOTP track is just using the sample looped over and over with a drop instead of the fill.
