  • oh man. I remember this too.

  • I always hated how often villains were able to sneak up on Batman in those animated series.

  • dolf londgren or the guy from wolfenstein oh no brigite nelson hahahahahhahahahahah i know its cheap

  • I wish I could find the soundtrack for this episode. It had some of the best music of the whole series.

  • Yeah!!

  • I always wondered how Bruce grew white hair in this episode even when he hasn't even reached old age.

  • @MDthornton83 He dyed his hair as part of his disguise to infiltrate the labor camp. He was dressed to look like an old hobo.

  • Ah yes, this episode. One of the stranger episodes considering that the main antagonist is a no name villain. Still, this episode has a happy ending and one of my favorite Alfred moments:

Alfred: This must be the place. Bring us down.

    Batwing: Negative.

Alfred: But Master Bruce is down here, we have to land.

    Batwing: Impossible, area too confined.

Alfred: Land, you bucket of bolts!

    Batwing: Your funeral.

    Later...

Alfred: I...I...I...claim this land for Spain. *collapses*

  • @Rexaura888

That line made my day when i saw that episode when it first aired, even my 19 year old big brother was laughing

  • nice....

  • i liked this episode alot when it came on. i also have it on my DVD boxset

  • That was one of my favorite episodes when I was a kid. I remember the music that played in it was really good. I'd like to find it somewhere, but can't :(~

  • I remember this, i just can`t remember why Bruce`s hair is white, but it`s kinda cool. Anyone remembers the one with Jonah Hex? i`m trying to find it.

  • Awww, I remember this episode... NOSTALGIA!

  • Ah, sweet, fond memories.

  • I remember this episode, I distinctly remember it being the first episode I watched, and the following episodes had me wondering why he had black hair all of a sudden, haha.

  • Bruce Wayne goes to Shawshank! Who else thought the fat slob villain was modeled after that evil mayor from The Toxic Avenger including the b-movie icon actor who played him Pat Ryan Jr.?

  • this was one of the scariest episodes for me when i was a kid. i was like "how in the world is he gonna get out of this????" i don't know how many times i asked that watching this show, lol.

  • how old is he there

  • @takis7123 I think he was wearing a wig or something?

  • @killer600000 Or hair dye.

  • Even tho this had none of the popular villains, and he spends very little time as Batman, this is one of my favourite episodes! and the music is very memorable

  • @killer600000 I remember the part where the villain thought that turning on his flashlight would help him find Batman in the cave. I remember thinking "nope, you've just made yourself a much easier to find target".

  • @Sukuraidogai

"guys! it's batman! turn of the lights!"

    worst plan I've ever heard

"now turn on the lights on your helmets"

and now it's the worst plan ever conceived by a human being.

  • @killer600000

I've been trying to find that Batman song (where the harmonica plays on the docks) for months!!!

  • I don't remember ever seeing this episode but it sounds like it'd be great like every other one.

BTW did anyone else catch that kid in the 1 second of the video or am I seeing things?

  • @marvelguy14 No ?

  • lol when i was 4 i was a little fat when i saw that fat guy eating the chicken i got hungry lol lol lol

  • ohh, nice XD

  • Listen to the music in this episode. Freaking brilliant. I often wonder how much of batman's soundtrack went towards inspiring Cowboy Bebop's score. Some other great examples of batman scores are "Read my lips" and "A Bullet for Bullock." (for the Jazz scores.

  • Just watch it a few minutes ago and it's one of my favorite episodes

  • i wasn't born when this was on TV but i watched them online and they are amazing much better than the stuff they expect us to watch today

  • @geekgirlrocker66 you have no idea how bad the quality of animation is today compared to 20 years ago. They really down it down.

  • it's interesting to see how the quick pace and manic energy of these promos take away from the dark, slow, and serious vibe of the show....

  • I tear up every time watching this episode when Bruce cries because he realizes he can't help everyone.

  • @infrafan That scene was powerful.

  • Bruce looks like Boomhauer in that disguise.

  • That show was pure EPIC, unlike the crap we have today, its either inspired by anime or its made in flash or something close.....

  • Whenever i watch this episode, that cat always scares me.

  • Wow was that leader so out of shape, and truly one of the worst fighters. He had one to many donuts.

  • I was wondering if that was Matches (looks different from the comics)... Thanks...

  • That wasnt his matches malone persona, that appeared in the episode shadow of the bat (the one that introduced batgirl)

  • one of the greatest episodes of this series

  • *plays tune on harmonica before commercial break*

  • man that episode was good

  • Episode was good. Enjoyed it when i was little. Watching it now it's still engaging.

  • This episode or "The Last Laugh" should have been the first episode of the serie.

  • Dude that was the best episode ever

  • 00:15 The Kingpin??

  • Man, it can't get any better than this!! Boy do I love Batman. Batman TAS is one of the finest animated series, period. It had groundbreaking animation, rich and deep storytelling, and a cast of characters a big as the Batcave. Man do I miss it.

  • i had a great childhood thanks 2 fox kids.. i remember this episode was so calm.. i love its 1 of my fav.

  • this episode is one of my favorites. everytime,I watch this episode I feel like cuddling Bruce.

  • omg this episode is awesome lookin can u tell me if its on youtube and nice vid !!

  • i think i remember this episode! he wakes up forgetting everything, and meets a guy. then later when he remeber he is batman, he employs his new friend to his company, and the guys say :"I wish i woke up as a rich man" something like that, right?

  • @ongpohheng it was " hit me".... his friend asked "hit u what".

then he said "maybe i lose my memory and wake up a millionare too".

  • @ongpohheng he asks his friend to hit him so that when he wakes up he'd find out he's a rich millionaire.

  • @ongpohheng The guy said "Hey (other guy), hit me over the head!"

    (other guy) - "What for?"

guy - "Maybe I'll wake up a millionaire too!"

  • @ongpohheng

guy 1: hit me guy 2.

    guy 2: why?

guy 1: maybe I'll loose my memory and wake up a millionare.

  • @ongpohheng While I dont remember this commercial I DO remember the episode. I think thats the point though, it was an unused or rare commercial. Kinda glad, the commercial was lame. The series was good though.
