I stayed in Santa Monica in March 2010 for one night and as we drive around at night there were loads of weird lights that looked like UFO's! I know I definetly seen this V formation of lights aswell!

With all due respect... The exact same sightings of jets at night in their normal approach patterns can be see at virtually every airport in the world. You are viewing time lapse photography and not an illusion at all. Yes because you can't legitimately identify the jets on film you can legally call them UFOs. Therefore, I'll let you get away with your livin illusion. Not to worry, we all hope that someday our ship will land. At least we HOPE for something.

I don't think these are alien craft or that they are UFOs at all. I used to live near there and this is a common site. if I interpret this video correctly we are facing East with the 105 freeway in the lower left hand side. Those lights are approaching aircraft. They seem to jump around because the camera only takes a picture every few seconds.

Thats looking east so... planes inbound for LAX.  When I lived in W. Covina, you could 30-40 lights eastward in a perfect line inbound EVERY night. After awhile, you didn't bother looking up.

You sure it wasn't just planes in a holding pattern? They sometimes do that in order to assist the flow of landing traffic.... Maybe if you highlighted where the LAX landing strips were in comparison to the lights the video might read better. I have no clue of what direction Im looking at etc.

Visibility close in is good, there may be high or midlevel clouds in the distance. This is not IR so the lights were visible radiation. Lined up directly away from LAX like incoming planes at various hights and altitudes with landing lights coming on. Compare the speed of cars (frame to frame) to the lights in the sky, they move fast, like planes. UFOs are real and planes are more consensually real. These are airplanes flying into LAX, ergo they have been identified.... Your call.

@fairhillnorrie It was seen on the night vision cam, which can see things beyond the spectrum of the human eye. That is why so many UFO hunters use night vision scopes.

I lived below an airway landing path for over 20 years. The planes do NOT come in with this pattern. They come in right behind each other. Now you might see the air path at an angle which would only mean a slight curve would be seen but still behind each other and farther away they are - the smaller the lights showing.

This video shows several airplanes on their inbound flight path to LAX. The freeway that runs through the middle of the frame is the 105 N/S. I work right near there. At night you can see the airplanes with their approach lights from miles away all in a nice row.
