@jbrah69 The Polish communist gov't didn't exist until after the War (officially). Hitler needed no prompting to attack Russia. But my Father told me that when they (the Polish army) were retreating from the Russians, the Jews in the villages were hanging out signs that said "We welcome our Soviet liberators". He never forgave them for that. Of course the border regions of Poland were ethnically mixed up since it was made from the remains of 3 empires (Russia, Austrio-Hungary & Germany)

The Nazis had always wanted to expand to the East and had viewed Eastern European as sub humans. The same level of hatred was not held for the West. Secondly I am convinced that the USA would have still come to the aid of Britain even without Pearl Harbor. Finally like all warped states Nazi Germany would have fallen in on itself.

totally incorrect. Hitler did everything possible to save as many people as possible while Stalin threw away as many people as possible. The whole reason why Hitler made Barbarossa by surprise was because if he had first announced aggression against the communists then Stalin would have stacked his front lines with Christian peasants to be used as cannon fodder. The Germans under Hitler liberated untold millions of people who had been enslaved by the British empire and the Soviet empire.
