This synthesis sound reminds me both of:

1) Inception soundtrack .. just listen to "Old Soul" track ... the gentle synth in the background. There's something sounding similar. BTW video seems to be inspired by movie if it's not... wow what a coincidence ;)

2) Jean Michael Jarre sound.. but this was said by Chicane in his preview of whole album
