Rattlesnakes would not need to evolve stronger venom to beat the squirrels as long as the snakes are able to find enough baby squirrels (or other animals) to survive and reproduce.
Squirrels are also communal animals, so a "slightly more effective" bite might not even be enough when its friends are around to scare-off or kill the snake. It really depends which animals evolves the best trait first.
Why does american speakers always have to make it sound like an action movie? It's such a strange habit of the american culture, and it distracts so much from the message.
Imagine how much extra info he could present in the time he uses at refrasing the same basic information in various dramatic sentence structures. Annoying as hell!

Everything about American culture is based on excess, from the food portions to the gushing emotion of their television.
