It is in fact the original piano/vocal track soloed. This bootleg's been around for ages.

If I not mistaken, and I'll have another listen, but this sounds very much like the original piano/vocal tracks. I suspect that these would've been recorded one day by Elton on his own while the others were sleeping at Caribou. Then, one by one, the other tracks were played and recorded later - probably late into the night if my own experience counts!! - Brilliant post. Thanks for sneaking it out of the studio!
